We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sajni is an ideal host. Her place provides everything you would need as a home base to explore Calcutta. It is centrally located in a very nice building. The bed was comfortable and the AC was powerful. She always had cold-filtered water available for her guests. And she also provided a very good breakfast. Since the room we stayed in was inside her apartment, we met and talked with her several times. And she was always helpful with suggestions and asking if we needed anything. She has a very nice cook who made us excellent breakfast. We look forward to staying here again next time we are in Calcutta. My wish is to make a trip to Calcutta exclusively to stay with her and experience the city at a slower pace.

We loved our stay at Neelam Bed & Breakfast! The host Sajna and housekeeper Baleeshwar were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived. Baleeshwar prepared a delicious breakfast each morning and Sajna gave us great advice for exploring the city and where to eat. The location is excellent: nearby to key attractions, restaurants and the Park Street metro (which is very easy to use!). The apartment is beautifuly decorated and maintained.

Homestay in the literal sense! Rajni and Baleshwar make you indeed feel at home. Rajni gives advice and tips, and welcomes you after a busy day ready for a kind chat. Baleshwar makes the best breakfast (his masala omelette deserves a michelin star) and is always there to help and make you feel comfortable, a lovely chai ready at hand, plus a kind word. I felt very safe and happy there and would definitely come back. Room is spacious, speckless and comfy! Thanks for that lovely experience!!

A fabulous homestay! Sajni is an incredible host full of information and help. Aesthetics of the place are beautiful. A minute walk from Park Street but super quiet. The staff person was very attentive and accessible. A cool clean comfortable spot. You can’t go wrong here!

- The elevator does not go up to the 6th floor, one floor left to arrive at the apartment. Unpractical if you've got heavy luggage or a broken leg. - Finding the apartment is not straightforward

The room is large with everything you need including a laundry machine. View over the school yard with lots of trees. It's very quiet compared to the busy streets around. Everything is clean including the building entrance. The host is very kind, willing to help the guests in whatever they need. Breakfast with home-made jam and local fruits is delicious.

The apartment is located bang in the centre of the city's most happening area; everything is a hop, skip and jump away. The rooms have everything one would need and Baleshwar, the caretaker, also cooks really good breakfast. It's the small things though, that were a refreshing change from the usual. I was personally overjoyed to see a moka pot and not have to settle for instant coffee. My wife loved staring at the art on the walls.

Little expensive to stay at the location but wanted to try the experience. Request for a hair dryer and more option for Plugin socket to charge phone or any electronics device near the bed.

Nice location at the centre of Kolkata. Easy accessible for Tourist attractions. like Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum and New Market. Caretaker was friendly and helpful. Room and painting were comfortable too.

The moment we entered we fell in love with the place, from the choice of fabric to the paintings hanging on the walls was overwhelming. From the moment we meet her the amount of love and care she showed to us has no words to describe. By the end of the trip, it started to feel that we are part of her family. she made sure we had all the famous food and sweets around her area. she also took us to the famous kali mata mandir. we recommend this place to all travelers who want to feel at home in Kolkata. we love you Sajni aunty :)

Centrally located on Park Street, yet in a quiet ally. Our host, Sajni was very warm and helpful to ensure that our stay was comfortable in every respect. She even arranged Bengali Sweets in our breakfast, which was really 'sweet' of her. The room, bathroom, linen - all squeaky clean! The help-cum-cook Baleshwar made sure that we had a hot breakfast every morning, a different menu each day. His Luchi-Sabji aced the pack. Lots of good eating places within a few minutes walk. Easy metro access within a few hundred meters walk. We love walking so reaching the old central parts of the city on foot was a 10~20 minutes thing for us. Overall, a very comfortable stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or revisit.

The property is very well maintained. Sajni Ma'am is a wonderful host and Baleshwar ji, the caretaker, is an amazing support. He was always checking on us about what we needed. It felt like home.

This place is a hidden gem with warm hospitality and excellent location near Park St. It was quiet in spite of all the activity, music and lights of Diwali one street over and within walking distance of good shopping and variety of good restaurants! Sajni hosted us so well, giving us great suggestions for food and shopping … and served delicious home cooked breakfasts prepared by Baleshwa who was also very attentive to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! thx
