Set in the tranquil Nigeen Lake, New Jacqueline Heritage Houseboat (NJHH) is a true gem in Srinagar. This property is very clean, well maintained, and beautifully adorned with traditional Kashmiri interiors. We were treated to great hospitality by the owner, Mr. Maqsood his son Sami and their entire team. Special mention to Muneer for taking good care of us and our needs during our stay. We are vegetarians, and the food served was to our liking. The views from the deck area are beautiful. I would recommend visitors to spend atleast 2 nights to soak in the experience. We will definitely visit this property again. P.S, If you get an opportunity to visit the houseboat owner Mr. Maqsood's residence, pls do visit to look at his collection of Kashmiri pashmina shawls, carpets, clothes, etc. which can be purchased a trip souvenir.

The rooms were luxurious with apt fittings. Esp the bathroom. The bed was as comfortable as it can get. Nigeen lake was very serene and the view from it was very magestic. Would recommend this to other people The staff were very courteous and genuine. They took good care of us.

After the taxi dropped us off at the pier we boarded the hand paddled shuttle boat to cross the lake to our house boat. The magic had begun. We crossed the lake looking up at the mountains as our houseboat came into focus. We arrived just as the fresh vegetable delivery boat was leaving. After a traditiional greeting beverage we could inspect the boat. Amazing woodwork, traditional carvings in myriad designs. The chef came to check on our dinner desires. Later on for dinner the food was fantastic. Kashmiri delights. It is sort of the best Indian food up-graded. Full private bath with all western facilities working well, queen sized bed in a traditiional style room. The location is fairy tale like. Breakfast was served including local specialties, all very tasty. Definitely a must do experience.

The location was just perfect! The property is absolutely beautiful and grand, you can clearly see how much heart and soul has been poured into this! Rooms and the common areas are very tastefully done up. Absolutely Instagrammable 🤩 The owner Sami is the sweetest and most helpful person looking out for his guests always and ensuring they go back with memorable experiences. He went over and above to ensure that our trip was smooth and also helped us with our arrangements to visit Gulmarg and Pahalgam! Ilyas and Akbar chacha also were so warm and hospitable! Thank you so much for making this one of our highlights in Kashmir!

We were fully satisfied

We had a wonderful stay. The view from the lake is mesmerizing. The walnut wood carvings and furniture, the carpeted floors, chandelier all lend a luxurious feel to the interiors. Our room was cozy and comfortable. Service by Asif bhai was excellent. They also arranged for Shikhara ride to the early morning market. That was a beautiful experience. All in all, we had a wonderful experience.

My family and I had an extremely memorable stay at New Jacqueline. We are very grateful to the staff - Mr. Mohiddeen for his generous hospitality, Mr. Samiullah for his time and his stories and the rest of the staff that unbeknownst to us kept us feeling like royalty the whole time. We couldn’t recommend this experience more - above and beyond what was expected or advertised online. Thanks to everyone that facilitated it!

This Houseboat located at Nagiin Lake is at great location. The view and the experience to reach is amazing. Amir took really good care of us. The food was good and my daughter enjoyed fishing on the boat. The owners also made us very comfortable and homely.

bed not practical with a designer roof over the bed. I banged my head thrice in the night on that. not much place to keep luggage. no heater in the room. felt very cold. toilet not practical. No information provided by property as to how to reach. we reached on the wrong side , as we followed the GPS. not value for money. over priced. Even after confirmation by booking.com , I was forced to pay 25% as advance for confirmation by the property. will not recommend for luxury travellers.
