Less attention to customer satisfaction. There was some renovation work happening in one of the nearby rooms and breathing the smell of paint and turpentine coming through the AC ducts made us feel miserable with runny eyes and sleep quality was compromised. We had to call up nearly every evening upon returning to the room and give them suggestions too to deal with the situation. They should have proactively dealt with it upon our first call itself. Was not a very pleasant experience this time.

We like the location of the hotel having stayed here earlier in April this year.

Music tape loop in lobby & restaurant area is a bit annoying after awhile

Location, atmosphere, facilities, staff friendliness, helpfulness all outstanding. Expensive, but worth it. WAY more personal service and feel than any other high end hotel in town. Food is great.

The toilet in the attached bathroom is extremely uncomfortable. The length of the jet spray is so short that it barely reaches the toilet bowl. This should definitely be reviewed by the hotel. Ice is chargeable at Rs.200/- + tax for a bucket. This is odd because drinking water is dispensed free and generously. The food in the restaurant was average and service was quite slow.

The location was good and it was easy to get transport. The staff was cooperative. The ambience was very pleasant. Check-in and check-out was handled professionally. The room had a bed and a small sofa but can get a bit claustrophobic if you are going to spend all day there.

Please don't go for the taxi services or airport shuttle as it will cost you a bomb rather go for local cab or book an OLA.

The checkout process spoilt our stay - as we left early we checked out the night before but early in the morning we had to go through it all again making us late for our plane.

We had room 105 in the Heritage section - a junior suite and it was spectacular - marble, walkin wardrobe, separate kitchen and comfortable bed. You could hear some street noise but usually quiet after 10. The hotel was walking distance to metro and Victoria museum and a shopping mall. The buffet at breakfast was ok - the egg station the best and for me - dont try the coffee.

The surrounding area is not too clean, possibly due to Puja holidays. I would suggest to the Hotel management to coordinate with the local authorities to resolve this issue.

The Hotel is located on Russel Street and is within walking distance from Park Street (approx 1.5 Kms). The buffet breakfast is very sumptuous and caters for varied tastes. The live counter provided South Indian, North Indian and Continental items. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Staff at the reception and the restaurant are very courteous and helpful. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to family and friends.

Rooms were not sound proof at all. Lots of noise and disturbance and odd hours.

No view of the rooms till 4th floor. The hotel has only 6 floors. So don't expect great views till u get a room may be on 6 th floor. Air conditioning problem ..it gets very very cold even when temperature is set at 25 degrees. The central AC may not respond to your own room settings. Also AC is not disinfected and cleaned that well so it emits some germs and dust which may trigger allergic reaction like asthama, sneezing or cold. And pls don't travel with senior citizens above 65 years to this hotel. They can fall sick due to this. The hotel is not cleaning the AC every alternate day for sure. We stayed in fairfield marriot earlier. We did not face AC related issues. If anyone is traveling who is younger than 55 years this place is good. But pls don't stay for people who are seniors who don't like chilly ac and may get allergic to germs and dust.

There was a lot of noises during night that prevented sleep.

The hotel is located in the center of Kolkata. The breakfast is fair for a European. The staff is very friendly. Each time I visit Kolkata I choose to stay in this hotel.

Breakfast spread and arrangement could have been better, Not to the level of 4 star Properties i have stayed. I actually skipped breakfast or had minimal breakfast. The options outside was better.

The Location is a plus point of this property, It was near to the Park street, Pubs as well to metro. The room size was good with comfortable amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was a very cozy and comforting hotel. Overall a good experience with this property

Its a pretty decent hotel - old world charm with just the right amount of modernity. What really set it apart was the staff - they treated me like a king from the moment I entered - took care of my non-standard requests.
