The hot water was not available. No option but to drink bottled water. So much for 'save dal lake'!!! During the shikara ride, a lot of vendors selling various paraphernalia solicit you. Recommend do not buy. Esp dont get duped with 'Kesar'

The room was as described. The staff took good care of us. Note that since kitchen is not attached, food has to be brought from elsewhere. They also give you the option of doing it ashore. The Shikara pick up and drop from gate is complimentary. But for a separate trip, you gotta pay. Pleaee be sure to ask for whatever you want. In our case, though the geyser was on, it wasn't working and we realised this only in the morning. Clean sheets and bathroom. One bread omelette and tea each in complimentary breakfast. Wifi was bust but the helpful lad fixed it, although only for a few hours.

There are a lot of hidden travel expenses . The staff should inform guests. The cars from Srinagar cant be used for sight seeing in other Districts or areas and one has to hire again. They should be clear on this to the customers.

The location was excellent. The caretaker of the house boat was very helpful. Ashraf did a good job .

The staff was highly unprofessional...very poor experience....he denied us to check in because we booked it without advance payment... Never ever recommended anyone to book this.

Tantray Ashraf was a very friendly staff and the other person who bought us to the boat house and brought us home made tasty food on the first day everyone were super friendly and excellent and thier service was great 👍🏻😍🥰☺️

I booked this property for my parents'. I was worried about them managing it on their own. I told the case to the property owner and he was extremely helpful. They help planned the itinerary and arranged all the services at good prices. Couldn't have been happier.

Staff was not supportive at all. No Electricity Backup. NO wifi facilitiy. We can leave and enter houseboat with permission of staff only.

We reached late and the facility owner said that we can have dinner there, but the staff who came to pick us in Shikara said we have to go and eat outside and come back because it will be difficult for them to arrange food. So we wasted around 1 hour and reached the boat around 10:30. As soon as we entered the gates of boat was closed and staff didnt allow us to sit outside in the balcony area because he wanted to sleep in the adjacent area and didn't want to be disturbed. First time ever I have had such an experience. Power was switched off around 12:30AM except 1 light in the room and we couldn't charge our phones. Next morning the guy who was supposed to drop us to the ghat, we asked him to let us roam in the Shikara for 15 mins and we got off even before that, but he asked us to pay up 500 bucks. This was for a service which was supposed to be complementary. Honestly this was the most disappointing experience during my whole stay in Kashmir and I booked this based on positive reviews on site.

The service and heritage beauty

The aroma and heritage beauty is what the most mesmerising thing of this boat house..A must stay here..came for a night and it compelled us to stay for 4 days .the hospitality and service is very punctual and with full of zeal.. If u ever come to Srinagar please arrange your stay here. And needless to say it's cheapest and best u can get here in this dal lake.
