There’s a wide selection of hotels in Bangalore, and we’re so glad we chose the Oakwood. The rooms are a little dated, which probably explains the reasonable price; but they’re also very big, comfortable and with kitchen facilities for a longer stay and self-catering. Location is also excellent, right by restaurants in UB City and close to Cubbon Park. Breakfasts also very good, as were all the staff - everyone we encountered was helpful and nice. Great gym on the top floor, too!

While they have sauna and steam options they didn’t have one for both genders or the ability to book it out for an hour so that if a group Of friends was comfortable using a mixed space this was possible. We did a staycation to celebrate a friends and this was a bit disappointing as we couldn’t hang out together. Also the men’s steam had a much nicer view than the women’s

They were incredibly accommodating and excellent hospitality. Paid attention to all the details and also supported us in surprising our friend which was lovely. The 3 bhk apartment was incredibly well equipped and spacious and so was the 1 bhk

The electricity was gone for more than two hours of morning bath time The electric stove / kettle could not be used The parking overnight was expensive and should have been not charged for guests staying

Was disappointed to see cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. When I informed the front desk, the housekeeping team attended to it promptly.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff is very attentive and helpful.

Finding the place inside UB city was not the easiest while driving there. Lobby to reception elevator was smelling of cigerette smoke. Breakfast spread was not the largest, but enough if you ain't a picky eater or have many dietary restrictions. Age of the property was starting to show, but it was not old enough for a refurbishment - at least not for another 3-4 years!

Location couldn't have been better. Kitchenette was of decent size. Room service was efficient. Rooms were spacious and tidy. The staff were nice and friendly.

I would say they need to make some upgrades: The TVs were ancient and there werent any channels on it. A smart TV would allow a person to use services like Netflix - especially for long stays The toilets need to be upgraded too. The tub didnt have a curtain which essentially had the whole toilet wet post a shower. The taps for both the tub and sink were leaking which is a waste of water as well as again - had the toilet wet all the time. They would also need to ideally have alternative milk options for breakfast. I ended up having to buy a coffee every morning because of this. Getting an uber to pick you up as well is a challenge as the UB City security arent versed with directing them to the right location for a pickup.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet and clean rooms. The overall maintenance of the property is great given how old it is. The central location is also great for tourists or people who need to commute to different parts of the city during a single stay

Loud music from the bars and night life. Bad idea to stay during weekends where party can go on till 1 or 2. Breakfast is average spread.

The location is excellent. Inside UB city and close to lot of attractions.
