How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was good and the bathroom and clean but there was an issue with the water outlet, which is a construction problem. The water outlet in the bathroom led the water being collected all over the floor and took really long to drain out.
Breakfast and location was good. The surrounding of the property is calm with spacious roads. Good staff who were kind and pleasant to talk to. The best part is it is a pet friendly stay which is also clean.

The curtains could have been thicker, there should have been a cupboard and a mini fridge.

Staff were awesome .I extended my stay twice and it’s because it of great staff members. I would like to thank Mahendra and his teams including Binay for providing help for anything we needed during our stay. Rooms are decent, spacious and clean . Meals are provided in house from kitchen and takes preorder , we loved it and ordered most of our dinner from the kitchen.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Olive Serviced Apartment New Town, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. After staying in one of their apartments in Salt Lake the day prior, I decided to book their New Town property. And let me tell you, it turned out to be the best decision I made during my trip. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the ease of locating the property and its fantastic location. I was delighted to find that I had been allocated a lake-facing apartment, which provided breathtaking views throughout my stay. The apartment itself was equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the addition of a lift and terrace garden added to the convenience and charm of the place. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service provided by the staff, especially Mahender Cook, whose culinary skills left me thoroughly impressed with each meal. Moreover, the strategic location of the property made it incredibly convenient for me to visit various corporates in New Town and attend a meeting at the Biswabangla Convention Centre, all of which were just a stone's throw away. I also appreciated the recent upgrade in furnishings, which added a touch of modernity and comfort to the apartment. However, my favorite memory from the stay was undoubtedly relaxing on the recliner while soaking in the mesmerizing view of the lake – a moment of pure bliss and tranquility. In conclusion, my stay at Olive Serviced Apartment New Town exceeded all expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. Overall Rating: ★★★★★

The managers of the property were quite helpful from the check-in to the checkout. The room itself was quite spacious and the bed was comfy. Though there is no restaurant on site, breakfast and meals can be offered on request. I would visit again.

It wasn’t a service apartment. We were just given two rooms like a hotel. Photos were misleading . Smelt funky. Family had some allergic reaction so we left in about 3-4 hours. Not even partially refunded.

We booked the service apartments but due to no vacancy we were accommodated in the guest house, basically a hotel

Everything was great. High quality service. Breakfast quality and quantity was very good. The staff have really good behavior. The room was spacious and had a great view and a big infinity window as well. Absolutely loved it. if your work is within new town then it is ideal property for you. close proximity to Airport as well.
