You DEFINITELY NEED TO COLLECT your visitors from the road. I was dumped in the middle of Varanasi and told to walk alone to hotel. This is not OK on any level. The property is nowhere near the road. It is a scarey walk through windey back alleyways that have no signage from the road. I was repeatedly hassled by many men. Very dangerous.

I loved the historic room, the views across the Ganges were fabulous.

I think it can't be helped because of the old equipment, but the bed and bath towels were damp. The electricity of the outlet was also bad, and the dryer stopped many times and it was inconvenient.

It's a heritage building... But the look inside does not have that touch.

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staffs are very helpful and always talk to us with smile. We needed a medicine at night and one of the staff volunteered to get it. We had a beautiful room with a view of Ganges. It's on top floor and the whole floor with a huge terrace was just for us. I can recommend this hotel anyday.

The pictures we saw of the bedroom were way better than the actual ones, so we were a bit disappointed. (Not that they were too bad, but we were expenting much better from description and photos). It was much smaller, not so well kept and "balcony" was really an outdoor public corridor

Stairs to first floor are very steep and it's a 400 m walk from main road. Climbing down from ghat side is even more difficult. Difficult place for senior citizens. Should make arrangements for bike rides. That shouldn't be too difficult to arrange. Will make it easier for seniors. Currently they provide rides if the bike is available. But no guarantees. Restaurant had limited options at different timings. They did not fulfill a simple request for French fries because some other party was going on. Since getting to main road is again a 400 m walk, it's difficult to find other food options. So, not a great place to stay with young children. Service is very slow in the rooms on ground floor a little away from the property on steps Budget rooms are extremely small. In the corner room, hand touches the ceiling.

Location is excellent. Toilets and linen were clean. Service in Palace on steps was good. It's an excellent place for young and fit adults. Wouldn't recommend for seniors or young children

Room has a window and a balcony door that had to be kept closed all the time due to monkey issues. Because of this the room became stuffy and we had to use the A/C (an old model with ineffective thermostat) even in the night (when outside temperature was 14degree celicius).

Dwivedi Hotel has an excellent position directly on the Ghatt of Varanasi and if you get a room with view you have a wonderful view on the Gange. The restaurant has an excellent food and a great view on the Gange. They serve food evey hour. The staff is very helpful. If you need something thy try to satisfy you. I needed an hair dryer and they gave me. Hot water always present. I was traveling alone and they organised a walking tour with a guide Kumar Sharma. In case you go to Varanasi and you need a guide ask of him. Helpful and kind. He Shows a great passion for his work and for his town. It has been a great experience

Although completely understandable, since this is a heritage property, the rooms can be a bit small to your liking. But the divine views of the Ganga will make you forget these tiny inconveniences. Please set your expectations accordingly.

The property is located less than 1 kilometre away from the Kashi Vishwanath temple and other nearby temples. It's an easy 10 to 15 min walk through the charming alleys of Varanasi where you'll find a lot of food and drink options, and cafes on the way. Plus you get splendid views of the Ganga, the boats passing by from your room and even catch the sunrise. A 100-metre walk away is the Dashashwamedh Ghat where you can experience the mesmerising Ganga Aarti that happens every evening at 6:00 PM. Make sure not to miss this magical experience. Please keep in mind that the property is situated in a dense old city area and is accessible only on a walk from the main street. Give reception a call once you get down from your cab and they will gladly arrange a porter for your luggage. The reception is always available a call away and all amenities are present in the room. Overall, a pleasant stay at the banks of the Ganga.

This was my first trip to Varanasi and especially Ajay made this trip super easy in terms of planning site seeing, ideas on how to plan your day in short visit. As the name suggest … it a heritage property converted into hotel and you can see magnificent view of the ghats from your room itself. Stayed here for two days with my mother. Waking up to sunrise and holy chantings from nearby temples made our stay even more memorable. Then you have an amazing rooftop restaurant at the property itself where you can enjoy your evening sip of tea with mesmerising view of ghats and Ganga River. Ajay the property manager will arrange everything for you- guide for city tour, boat for ghat tour or any other help that you may need. Hotel staff is equally kind and courteous. Special thanks to Mishra Ji our guide for making our trip to Banaras unforgettable.

The room needs a renovation (I totally get that in such old buildings the infrastructure is difficult and super expensive to change but other simple things could give to the place a more fine touch and really upgrade it). The AC was quite noisy disrupting my sleep.

The view from the room and the restaurant was amazing. The location is very convenient, with walkable access to any landmark in the old town. The stuff is super friendly and willing to help you out with anything. The breakfast was traditional Indian and filling (I took breakfast two days and the Indian part of the buffet totally altered). The room had everything I needed with a luxurious touch on the amenities. Generally a very good stay in the heart of Varanasi. It was exactly what I wanted to experience in my short trip in this magical place!

Reaching the hotel requires a mandatory walk of 15 mins along dirty, narrow lanes where bikers are driving all the time.

The hotel is situated at the banks of Ganga River. Walking distance from main market and Kashi Vishwanath temple. Stay is comfortable and staff is good. Their restaurant is also very good and make tasty food.
