Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing - it was all excellent. Wish it had a pool - that would have been the icing on the cake. The Spa in the hotel is European prices so expensive for India.
The Parallel hotel was incredibly comfortable. We had a room with great views across to the Lake. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were very attentive and speedy. The lobby staff were very informed and helpful. The hotel is new and it felt like real luxury. 3 minutes walk to the Garden of the Maidens which provided calm and peace (and lots of birds).

United KingdomThe music at Taro restaurant was extremely loud and prevented us from being able to talk over dinner. They did turn it down slightly when we asked, but it still felt unnecessarily loud (think clubbing level/vibe).
We felt very lucky to have booked this lovely hotel. It's a true oasis in an otherwise somewhat chaotic city. The service was impeccable, the rooms very comfortable and stylish, the spa and gym well kitted out (who doesn't love a private jacuzzi and steam room?!), and the food (in both restaurants and room service) delicious, varied (Indian and western dishes on offer) and very well priced. We'd absolutely return DBS would recommend it to others without hesitation.

One of the most stylish and modern hotels we have stayed. A great deal of attention to detail. Personal touches make the guests feel special. A great contrast to Super comfortable beds, wonderful crisp linen. Excellent shower. Spectacular rooftop restaurant with views over the lake. A great lounge bar near reception with luxury chairs and numerous places to sit and enjoy drinks.

GermanyThe walls were a bit thin so I could hear the TV from the other room. The people in the room next door also kept moving furniture around during the night (rude) so it was hard to fall asleep, but once it stopped we had a great night's sleep. The location was just Ok.
The hotel and room were very new and clean! The room was a really good size and had a nice view to the lake. The breakfast restaurant had also amazing views as well as the hotel on the rooftop. Looked very cool and trendy.

CanadaThe price indicated by Booking.com was rounded up. The administration made it a laughing matter, a bit condescending (was basically told rupees is not as big as our currency, it shouldn't make much difference) WITH ALL DUE RESPECT WE WORK HARD FOR OUR MONEY TOO. I booked approx. 10 hotels in this trip, and so far, 2 hotels did this. I don't think this is acceptable and should be followed up by Booking.com.
Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant and comfortable stay.

IndiaNothing to point out.
Fantastic hotel. Way above my expectations, really. They don't have the frills you might get if you booked a 50,000 per night room in one of Udaipur's lakeside 5 stars, but they have a luxurious ambience, and do a surprisingly good job of matching up in a lot of other departments that are more functional. The rooms are very comfortable, the staff is prompt, everything you might need in your room is there and works impeccably, the rooftop restaurant has a spectacular view of the city. There's a large Starbucks outlet in the same building - that's a plus point. The value for money is outstanding really..they could easily charge twice as much and it would still be worth it

United KingdomBoth the restaurants in the hotel, Firki and Taro only had vegetarian options.
The hotel is newly built, about one year at the time of writing. Therefore the rooms and the amenities like gym, hot tubs are very modern and well designed. The rooms very squeaky clean and staff was attentive to our needs. The location is around 3-4 kms from the tourist attractions and hence in a quieter area which was perfect for us. We could easily get a tuk-tuk to all the tourist attractions. We tried the in house spa which was great as well.

South AfricaThe hotel was completely veg, which was not an issue as the food was amazing. A bit more variety and perhaps more explanations on the menu would help. The hotel did not have a travel desk but provided a list of popular attractions. We had to find alternative contact details for a guide via trip advisor who turned out to be amazing. The salon was not yet operational, and my husband desperately needed a haircut and trim before a wedding we were attending. We got the sense that the hotel is still quite new and finding its feet.
A very modern and quaint hotel, the room was smaller than expected but fully equipped. The TV was huge, and the complimentary mini bar drinks were a nice touch. The staff were friendly and the restaurant and room had such an amazing view for New Year's. The innroom service menu was limited, but the best kulfi and falooda of my entire life! Overall, it was a comfy and beautiful stay with one of the best hotel views!

IrelandThis hotel proved to be a wonderful choice for my short visit to Udaipur. The property is modern, spotlessly clean and in a very nice area, just a short tuk tuk ride to the Old City. My room 504 was quiet and spacious, comfy bed, great large TV screen, lovely ensuite with lovely shower and plenty of hot water. I had a wonderful breakfast each morning on the 10th Floor Restaurant FIRKI which has spectacular views of the city. Food is plentiful and fresh, with great selection and good coffee. I had Dinner in FURKI on three evenings - vegetarian menu with plenty of options. Hotel has embraced technology in a big way - for example menu is obtained by scanning qr code on table - but staff happy to assist the non-techies like myself. Speaking of the staff - the entire team at FIRKI were exceptional - a great team of friendly and helpful staff, without exception, they are a credit to the hotel, always smiling and happy to chat to guests and assist in any way possible. There is also a rooftop Bar/Restaurant TARO which looks spectacular but I did not get a chance to try. Finally I have to thank the Receptionists Harshika and Akash, who were warm, friendly, smiling and helpful at all times - from the moment I arrived to departure. The only small issue I had during my stay was trying to use AC in room - the engineer did attend to assist me - system seems to be controlled centrally rather than from room - however, overall room temp was fine. Thank you to all the staff at Parallel Hotel for a lovely stay - your staff are a credit to you and I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to family and friends.
