TV not working but probably not an issue for most. No housekeeping during my 5 day stay but as a suggestion leave key at reception and ask for room cleaning.

Staff very welcoming, friendly and eager to assist with any issues or arrangements for transport etc. Great location just a couple of minutes to Lake Pichola and quiet area just out of old town. Room clean and comfortable and good rate for accommodation provided.Roof top area - fabulous views!!!

Wifi was very slow and the location of the hotel is difficult to reach. The location is in a very compacted small housing area, where it is easy to get lost.

I loved the hotel and the staff. Its a great place to stay for the price. Loved the view from terrace as well. They were helpful in arranging travel as well.

Air in the room was humid and there was bad smell that repeatedly returned after ventilating the room.

Great location in Udaipur, close to everything important (lake, City Palace). Breakfast (served in a sister facility) was delicious.

pool needs a clean- might just be for show as lots of bird feathers and dirt in the pool clearly no one had been in it for a while- plus it was freezing cold. bathroom smelt of sewage a few times. Also asked staff about using a taxi to go 15 out of the city they quoted me 4x the going rate of what I actually paid so better of finding ways to get around yourself. plus 3% “transaction fee” on card machine to pay once arrived- the staff simply added that to our bill so unsure who that 3% goes to. WiFi was not good

peaceful, the building itself was beautiful and gorgeous rooftops to enjoy breakfast. rooms were spacious and really comfortable. shower had hot water instantly! decorations of the hotel is beautiful. location is great and quite. takes 5 mins to get to the main parts of Udaipur. as two young girls we felt really safe walking back to the hotel once dark. and always someone on reception.

The pictures are utter lies. The lake is only visible from the terrace in the morning and the rooms are like matchboxes. This is near the lake but its inside a shabby area where it is not accessible by car. the hotel has a tuktuk but you have to pay to use it. they give you only checkin and checkout free. the public tuktuk will charge you Rs100 every time. The hotel doesn't even have amenities like a hairdryer or iron in the room. when asked for an iron they got a cheap small little thing. Everything was bad about the hotel.

there is nothing to like about this hotel. if getting a clean room to only stay the night is your thing then this hotel is ok. there is nothing else in it.

We booked 4 night at pax hotel after one month in India usually staying in budget guest houses. We decided we wanted to treat ourselves to a bit more comfort and luxury so upped our budget to stay here. Criterias/priorities for our search were Location, rooftop and swimming pool. We were pleased with the location, walking distance to the main things we wanted to see but far enough from the noise. The reception on arrival wasn't great with staff seemingly disinterested and almost annoyed we had turned up. The room was well decorated compared to our usual accommodation and clean and the bed was comfortable however it lacked natural light and smelled of damp and was cold. I was given an electric radiator on request. The main disappointment were the rooftop and the swimming pool.  The rooftop was NOT the one in the pictures on the site. It was covered and dusty and littered. I had to clean my own chair and table to sit down. One of the staff was there and seemed annoyed  that i intruded his space. And yet did not initiate cleaning it for me to use it. But the view was beautiful. The swimming pool was more of an ornament  and was too dirty to swim in. It had pigeons feather (and who knows what else in its water) and had clearly not been cleaned or swam in in ages. Still we were encouraged to take a dip ... we didn't as did not wish to be sick. We were disappointed as we felt this hotel was false advertised, it was a lot of money from our travel budget. Sadly we would not stay again or recommend to our friends unless they adjust the price to reflect what they actually offer.  We saw other guesthouses with rooftop for 1500rupees a night that looked much brighter and with an actually accessible rooftop so if you are going to stay in Udaipur save your money and look elsewhere.

Bed sheets had few marks and hairs… else cleanliness was fine.

The traditional decor is nice. Breakfast is fine as well. The receptionist lady was helpful.

Physically, it is very congested and lake is not visible unless you go to roof top. And that roof top is not at all clean. No maintenance there at all. The roof top pic you see is the only pic you can also take. The other side of that pic is pure garbage. And that blue color of chairs in that pic is already worn out.

The rooms were very small. The washrooms were not clean and faucet was leaking. If you are travelling by your own vehicle then avoid this place as streets to reach this place are very narrow. Chances of your vehicle getting damages are very high.

It's a far from the nearby places that can be visited plus it's in very dark area you can't roam around alone they don't have any facilities for dining no one stays there.

Dirty rooms & sheets. Very noisy room because of some fans noises. Very bad smells too. Hot water was not there in my room. Unpleasant staff. The Roof top and the swimming pool are just there for the photo but are not usable. The hotel is likely to be an annex of a next door hotel, aimed to host more people during peak times (Diwali when when we visited), this explain the very bad maintenance of the place.
