There were dirt spots on the pillowcase, on chair, the curtain didn't seem very clean.

The breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff is really helpful and friendly. They are prompt to answer all requests. Help was sent fast, any time I needed anything. The staff made the experience memorable! The size of the room was good too.

The bath was cracked & mended badly in 2 rooms. We had to ask change rooms because of this. On check out, we were told we owed money for sandwiches & and juice, which we hadn't had. (We always paid in cash for any extras) Multiple staff took time looking in through many drawers of paperwork, while we stood waiting at the desk, making us feel uncomfortable. Eventually, we had to leave as our taxi was waiting. We didn't ever receive an apology or any correspondence from the manager, for which we had asked.

It was a quiet location, grounds were kept well.

The bathroom set up is a bit weird . One has to climb into the bathtub to take a shower. Which can be hard for the elderly and is accident prone. Also , some of the furniture in the rooms are old dusty . Chairs are worn out

Reached late for check in and went early morning next day for darshan, requested duty manager at night to keep breakfast time extended for us 10-15 minutes in case we are late from darshan at Kashi Vishwanath and the duty manager's response was very inhospitable for a star hotel.

Location of the hotel was convenient, hotel had a bar.

Well located hotel, quiet area in an otherwise noisy city. Big rooms. Though the rooms are a bit dated they are clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and food was good as well. Overall a good choice for staying in Varanasi.

Bathroom fittings become very very old. Big problem of hot water. Tap to be kept open at least 5 mnts to get hot water. Really painful in wasting of precious water.

1. House keeping was not efficient. Daily replacement of coffee etc was unreliable. 2. It is the norm at all good brand name hotels that every room is for double occupancy and so, two bathrobes, two bath towels, two face towels and two hand towels are needed. Face towels were not there and when requested, we were given two small hand towels! 3. The travel desk needs to be more efficient, precise and clear about the rates and services. The person in charge Tauseef Ahmed was helpful. But he needs to ensure that his sub-vendors keep their promises/commitments of services. 2. The bathroom internal layout seems work of an inexperienced person. The hand faucet shall never be on the left side of the toilet. One should hold it in the right hand for proper use! 3. The room door did not close automatically completely, unless you pull it shut without fail!!

The rooms were under renovation and our was not yet renovated unfortunately. The breakfast was very good and wide variety of food, indian and western. For a 5 stars hotel, to get jam from a bottle (Like From the supermarket) they could offer something better. Honey in small blister pack. A lot of plastic as well the shampoo and body gel in the room were small bottles.

Some parts of hotel need renovation-which appears to be on way. We were not particularly disturbed by it on level 5.

Excellent perceptive and efficient staff - in food and leverages (platter restaurant and bar), housekeeping and reception. Breakfast is really delicious and excellent value for money.
