Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IndiaCost is a bit high, breakfast had repeated options. Overall not work 6-7k per night. Twin beds weren't that comfy, however weren't that bad also. Water was 80 rs a bottle and overall felt like we're staying in a luxurious hotel without any facilities matching it. Overall it was costly for us and wouldn't recommend to go back since there are other options too
Good staff, good room. Location is also pretty nice near cubbon and stadium. Overall not worth spending more than 5k, but they have airport cabs and good restaurants inside.

United StatesThey are remodeling so there was some construction noise during the day. They arranged a taxi to take us to the airport at 6:30pm (posted cost:2,800INR to airport; 3,000 INR for airport pickup). The desk staff saw us (the only Westerners) when we arrived back at the hotel about 6pm. When we finally asked about our car at 6:40pm we were told that it was waiting for us. The driver told us that he in fact had arrived about an hour early. The desk personnel should have told us the car was available as soon as we came back to the hotel. The driver said he had been told the cost would be 3,000 rather than the 2,800 we had been told.
Comfortable hotel at convenient location near Cubbin Park/MG road on relatively quiet road.

Sri LankaConsidering the amenities/facilities provided by the hotel, I felt the cost was overpriced. Also, the breakfast variety could be improved, especially the English breakfast menu, which lacked soup and had limited dessert options, including fruit.
Overall, I had a very positive experience at Southern Star, Bangalore. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests had a pleasant stay. The hotel's location was also convenient. It was close to many restaurants and shops and easy to get around town.

BangladeshI didn’t like the Lift mainly. Its old and had jerky movements. But I have seen a new lift was installed and it was under construction. Hopefully next time this will not bother me again.
I mostly like the environment of the hotel and the behaviour of the stuffs, Specially Mr. Nokul from room service and all the receptionists. All were very helpful. I recommend this one to all.
