How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

One USB charging point did not work
The staff was very attentive esp Rahul in the Lake view cafe. A minor repair was needed in the bathroom, which was quickly and efficiently handled.

Staff was a bit rude and dont carish. Also we had asked for a keto pastry since we were celebrating our anniversary, but our request was ignored. Nothing special was done to make us feel good. Even the room cleaning staff was rude, they were better with foreigners, maybe because they tip.
Location is very beautiful…lake view is very soothing and beautiful. Also rooms are spacious.

It took extremely long to order anything in the room. We misplaced our key card n had to wait for 45minutes till they could send an extra key card. There were no bubble baths and again another 15minutes to get the same.
We loved the room decor, the views from the restaurant, and the breakfast spread. Staff was helpful and polite.

Some parts didn’t seem like it was a westin property. Eg tables in the lake side restaurant outside were a bit rusted and wobbly.
Lovely property. Else the amenities are good. View is excellent, there are hobby activities happening for kids and adults.

I booked my travel with booking .com and i noticed that my colleagues paid 700 AED less for the same accomodation with the same room type. I was disappointed from booking.com. I have learned my lesson. I will compare al the offers from now onwards

I booked club room but they checked me into a standard room. Next day I inquired and asked to give me a club room or return the money. Ultimately they moved me to suite

Sometimes staff were either too busy to deal with requests or forgot - we had a few occasions where we requested something but then it never arrived. I know the staff were busy, and it was often resolved once we prompted them. Unfortunately the Italian restaurant (Fratelli Fresh) has now closed and this was currently under construction, the Asian restaurant was nice but is quite expensive. It would be good to have a few more dining options within the hotel - although the Lake View Cafe was very nice.
Location was great - overlooking Powai lake. Close enough to Airoli for work - a taxi takes about 20-30 mins in an uber to Airoli and was a similar time to the airport (30-40 mins). The breakfast was very good, with lot's of choices - both traditional Indian as well as European options. Similarly, dinner options were great - we dined in Lake View Cafe for most of our stay. I had stayed at the hotel previously when it was the Renaissance and pleased to say a lot of the hotel is the same as before (which was excellent). The gym is good and has a decent amount of equipment - including treadmills, weights, machines etc. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, we also found it very easy to get an Uber if you have to go into the city. The room itself was very comfortable, and I had a view overlooking Powai lake which was very nice. There is a pool area which is great for cooling off in the Mumbai sun, however it would be great if you could order drinks at the pool instead of going inside to the Cafe - this is a minor point. Overall, a very comfortable stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

It's the most serene part of mumbai...rooms facing the lake were gorgeous. Large swimming pool. At breakfast we were spoilt gor choice.

the only thing I can say is the food and drinks are a little on the high side but they have discounted us by 15% as we were hotel guests
for the location, this was a very good hotel, staff were very friendly and always there to help. Rooms were very quiet even though there was some events outside

The breakfast room was crowded.
