How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Stayed there for 2 days with my family. Booked it after getting confirmation of Swimming pool avaliability, but during check-in staff denied to provide as lifeguard was on leave. Do guest suffer if any staff in not avaliable ? Its property responsibility to arrange for a staff replacement. Drove all the way from Jaipur to stay & enjoy with kids but was very disappointed once they denied to provide the swimming pool. This type of service is not acceptable bya reputed hotel that too which is running since 1962. TOTALLY DISSPPOINTED AS THEY DIDN`T ALLOWED TO USE AMENITIES.

Noise level of people walking past room to lifts and chatting on phones as walking past room However , management did ask the students to quieten down.
There were a group of 30 students so buffet etc was laid out for them & was very good Dinner buffet was also ok but the manager charged me more than he should have as I was vegetarian and buffet was already prepared for 30+ people, he didn’t need to charge me extra. Room was cold and one of the workers brought a dodgy heater with worn cables that switched off after a while . Eventually a replacement was found . Hotel needs to throw away dodgy appliances and invest in a few good quality heaters for those chilly days.

In the pic at the time of booking, it showed three beds placed in the room. However, additional bed was a folding one. The accessories in the bathroom were also not up to the mark. And elevator was a old and creeky.
The location of the hotel was excellent and it was spacious.

The only thing which I felt was the entrance area and garden area. The lights at the entrance gate was missing the green area is required to more useful. you can put few chairs and start serving tea and snacks. The entrance should be more attractive (some nice halogen bulbs and some fancy lights are required). The was good but we missed the essence of Punjab. Please work on it.
I want to give 10/10 but I hold myself. The hotel is awesome. The facilities, infrastructure and comfort are superb.

Even though the property is pretty old, it is very well maintained. Hats off to Housekeeping and Engineering team. Front desk did our check in, check out procedure very fast .

No wifi working in my room Currently undergoing construction work so only one restaurant and no air con on there . Bathroom didn’t smell great and was tired. Breakfast rather underwhelming!

Bathrooms could have been large. Also, AC was centralized , we were not able to set temperature according to our need. So, I guess AC controls should also be present. Food as per the menu seems to be expensive. We had tea & it costs us Rs 500. Pool rules were very strict. Without swim wears you cant go to the pool. Timings were also limited. I would recommend at-least for hotel guests these rules should be lenient.
When i visit Renovation was going on... Building was old (i would suggest new paint :-D) but Rooms were very good all basic facilities were provided. Rooms were large in size. Though i feel bathroom were small. We demanded for extra bedding & instead of a extra mattress we got the actual folding bed. Hotel is just 2kms away from Partition museum & Golden temple. Auto-Rickshaws were easily available. Novelty Mall was just on walking distance. Best park was open space & covered parking.
