It’s a bit tired, which did not bother us as we wanted to see the history of the building, but some people might not feel the same, especially for the price!

Great location on Marine Drive, very close to the Oval, Wankhede Stadium & Cricket Club of India. The hotel is a classic building, plenty of history with great views if you get a sea view room. Staff were great!

Check-in took long, and they insist taking high quality full photocopies of passport pages. This is a possible issue for fraud with personality data, and my home country government strongly advises not to allow hotels abroad to take photo copies. Please adjust your procedures to have more happy (foreign) visitors. Bathroom is very basic and below par, improvement here is needed. It's hard to get some warm water in the shower too, which was disappointing sometimes.

Location wise it's great on the boulevard 'Queens Necklace', ocean views. Traffic is all day long, but quiet at 2-6am for some good sleep. There is a see breeze on the balcony which offers side-ocean views from the suite. It's convenient enough to get around a bit of Mumbai by yourself using local trains or Uber/Taxi. Staff is friendly, breakfast is sufficient and room-served. There is some items in the minibar to use too, which was much appreciated!

The hotel needs updating as systems in bathroom are old. Lots of water on bathroom floor and risk of slipping and falling was high. The floor of bathroom was very high level as compared to the room and my husband had a fall as he has limited mobility.

I stayed there with my husband and my son. We booked the ‘queen’s necklace’ suite. The views were amazing particularly during sunrise, sunset and night time. It was close to Gateway of India. Marine drive location is the best for staying in Mumbai and for enjoying the city.,

Some of the furniture and fittings are very old. The washroom needs to be modified well as I could hear people outside in the passage from the washroom, which is very strange. . More variety needed in breakfast.

All of the staff are very courteous and supportive. Great location, The old-world charm of the place gave a distinct experience. Cleanliness is maintained. The Coffee shop in the premises of the hotel is a great plus. Overall, I had a very positive experience, and will consider staying here again.

Only luke warm water for shower (I'm into cold therapy so made it work) and no scraper to remove water from floor after shower. Floor is slippery when wet. Be careful.

Good location. Central to Churchgate area of Mumbai and 100inr taxi ride from Gateway of India. View over the Back Bay. Can see the sunset from balcony on 4th floor. Very authentic Mumbai experience in terms of the cacophony that is the traffic of Mumbai and the cars beeping. I used earplugs at nightBank and restaurant next door, pharmacy round the corner. About one hour taxi ride from airport which cost me 1300inr.

The mattress on the additional bed isn’t the most comfortable but not too bad

It is not clean, breakfast is not good, flooring is very old and looks very dirty, bathroom is old fashioned, no proper hot water as geyser is gives very little hot water. Drastic upgrade required otherwise not worth to stay here.

Except room everything was perfect. Room was very very basic and partial sea facing is not true, corner view if marine drive. Staff was very good. Location and staff was very good, staff was keen to help everytime but without crossing written limits.
