During my visit, it was a very hot day, so the A/C didn't work very well. The A/C was set to 16°C and the cold air was blowing directly onto the bed, so only my face was very cold, which was uncomfortable.

Washroom isn’t near and clean and there’s no dustbin there and sheets and pillow covers weren’t very clean. The lock for the washroom wasn’t working.

It is very close to Taj Mahal, it’s walking distance from it and pretty close to main road. Finding a transport is not a problem at all. Staff is very helpful and food is fine. They have 24*7 check-in which is great as we reached there at 1am and they had their reception open. It was safe too.

The rooms are, like all Indian hotels, not "European standard" (but in the top quartile of what we've experienced in the country), and remember, neither are the prices. They're large, decent and acceptable though.

The staff are great. The owner is very concerned for his guests, very helpful and has a great vision of what the hotel will become. If we go back to Agra we will stay there again. The peaceful courtyard has massive potential to become a really nice place to unwind at the end of the day or just meet the morning.

1. It is an impressive entrance to the hotel area, but my room sadly didn't live up to my first impression. My room was in serious need of a refurbishment and the furniture could do with replacing / upgrading as it was quite old. It was also an old style padlock and key on the door rather than an actual lock or key card 2. Room was dirty in places, esp around the windows and plug sockets and not much care has been taken when the walls were last painted, as there is a lot of paint over the wall hangings 3. My room was directly outside the restaurant seating area and with the walls being quite thin, it was quite noisy

Location, location, location. Perfectly positioned to visit the Taj Mahal for sunrise. All of the staff are so friendly. The uncle of the owner kept me company during dinner, which was really nice. The owner even saw me off even though I left very early. Would recommend and hope to stay here again as I loved Agra.

The area around the hotel is slums. Lots of touts and hustlers right outside the entrance to the hotel. I got food poisoning from the hotel restaurant which cost me a day of sightseeing. I was up all night vomiting and in bed all of the next day recovering. Owner still charged me for the food. I would recommend eating at Joney’s cafe which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Then you will have no stomach problems. The hotel restaurant has tables set up right outside the door to your room and it gets noisy since there is no soundproofing in the rooms. You can hear your neighbors talking in the next room. If you want to go to the Taj at sunrise, this is a good place to stay. Otherwise, I would choose a nicer hotel a little further away. If you stay here, bring your earplugs. You will need them.

Located a 5 minute walk from the Taj Mahal West entrance gate. The location is the best thing about the property. Owner is friendly and speaks good English. They have a nice courtyard outside of the rooms which gives a feeling of peace in an otherwise chaotic area.

Staff were really obliging and helpful. We had only stayed one night in order to visit the Taj Mahal, which was less than five minutes walk away. We weren't under any pressure to check out by 12 and were able to leave our bags safely in the lobby for a few hours after that. Fairly basic, but we were provided with a kettle when we asked, and most importantly, the sheets were clean and fresh.
