Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice and very friendly staff. We were offered complementary breakfast. Good location and the cafe downstairs gives it a safe and lively vibe. Bonus: Quiet backyard view from our room in the middle of a very busy and loud city.

United StatesI enjoyed observing the band and festivities of the wedding procession across the street from my window. This was not a problem for me. However, if you do not like noise, request an inner room.
Hotel was in a convenient location (close to major shopping district) in a residential neighborhood, with plenty of eateries in the area. Accommodations were comfortable, as to be expected in a boutique hotel.

SwitzerlandThe sheets, blanket and towels were worn. The air conditioning was very loud (but only in one of the two rooms we booked). A small edge on the shower area would have prevented the whole floor getting wet.
The location is top-notch and convenient for my family visits. Excellent cafés, the marvelous lake, and good shopping. The staff were friendly and always tried to oblige. They treated my elderly father with respect.

IndiaThis place was a disaster. Not only did I not get the room I had paid for, but there were many issues, which were never resolved, despite follow-ups. To list some: 1) The geyser didnt work on day 2. I informed, but nothing was done 2) The bathroom curtain road was broken 3) The lights in the room have a mind of their own, kept flickering on and off 4) The telephone in the room didnt work, except one time. I tried using it at least 10 times. Even a staff saw it didnt work, but did nothing about it. 5) I dont think anyone cleaned the bathroom before handing over room to me. Tissues used by someone else were there in the bin. Overall, the look and feel of the place is super shoddy. Definitely not what is being shown on website. And the worst--I sent a whatsapp to owner Subrata Bose asking if I could call and share feedback--but he never bothered to respond.
The location and the coffee shop are both excellent.

BangladeshNot clean and has very poor maintenance. Towels are aged. The room and especially the toilets are not clean. Bed linen etc are also very dated. The elevator is also very dirty. They need to Renovate the property.
Breakfast was very basic but they served breakfast in the room. Location is ok depends on your point of interest. Plenty of restaurants around the area. Also, you will get some boutique shops around the hotel.
