Not much to complain about! Rooms don't have heating, but warm blankets! 😆 It's walkable to central Leh, but maybe a taxi back is best, as it's uphill.

I had a great time at the Snow Lion Ladakh guesthouse in Leh. Anu, Arnab and everyone there were extremely friendly and helpful. Anu is there to help with anything, and always a cheerful, smiling disposition. Arnab helped me out with tours and connected me with another group, who had a driver, so we could share expenses. The communal area was also very friendly and I was able to meet other travellers. Breakfast and other food there also great!

My stay at Hotel Snow Lion Ladakh was amazing. I am sure my words are not enough to match their hospitality. Not even for a second I felt that I was away from my home. The hotel is beautiful, nice, warm and welcoming. It is spacious and the staff is super friendly. Food is awesome, breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything is amazing. Anu and Arnab are always there for you, no matter if you are in the hotel or in the market or the bike you rented has a flat tyre, you’ll find them helping and guiding you all the way. Anu makes the best ginger lemon honey tea; I tired a lot of cafe’s but she add her special magic in it. Both Anu and Arnab will guide you on how to acclimatize, make sure that you are heathy and will keep a check on your well-being. They will give you hand written notes on where, when and how to explore. Just follow them blindly and you’ll enjoy your trip. Not just them, Alam and other staff are also as amazing as them. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Snow Lion Ladakh and I recommend this hotel.

Very caring and knowledgeable staff especially Anu, who gave us excellent advice on dealing with high altitude sickness. She made sure that her guests were well-fed and well-prepared for the road trips into the mountains. Nice mountain views from our room. Hot water always available.

Anu and Arnab are awesome hosts, they helped us with all information, services and bookings we needed to make our family trip to Ladakh comfortable. They are a 1 stop shop for all needs in Ladakh. As I was traveling with two small kids, the information they shared about Leh and Ladakh was very helpful and kept my family happy and healthy.. Throughout our stay we were constantly asked if we were doing well and if we needed any help. They are constantly trying to uplift the snow lion hotel and I wish them all the best for their journey.

I feel bathroom was not clean. Tiles broken. Since it is cold we need hot water all time. But availability of hot water was occasional. Bathroom mirror is not visible since the light above mirror is not working

Hospitality of staffs is excellent. Room is large and clean. Hotel is situated in a calm place near to Vijay stupa. There is a bridge near to the hotel and view of hills was amazing. Leh market is also at walkable distance from the hotel. View of clean blue sky is a wonderfull experience to mind. As a new comer we feel some uneasiness. But Miss Anu had given introduction about the climate of Leh and suggested some tablets for easy breathing and acidity priblems. It was very helpfull to maintain our health in that cold weather.Overall the Leh trip and stay in Snow Lion hotel will be a everlasting memory in our life.

The host(Anu) is an extremely cheerful , warm and welcoming person who will literally take care of you like your own family member . She is well versed with all the must visit places and will guide you throughout your stay in Leh Ladakh. The property is very beautiful and cosy and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly . Starting by welcoming us with the traditional Tibetan scarf and kawa (traditional Kashmiri tea) to familiarizing us with the importance of acclimatization at 3500m, Arnab made sure we felt at home. The scenery outside the window is breathtaking. Just draw the curtains and you see a beautifully maintained garden with vegetables growing in it and if you gaze far into the distance, you will see mountains. Some clad with snow, the others not. The market is about 1.5km since it is downhill you can absolutely walk/run to it. Buffet for breakfast and dinner is very convenient. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and have several stories to fill you in with. While Arnab tells you the places to visit and helps with the itinerary, another caretaker Anu, a local, tells you about the Leh that is hidden in the alleys. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and ended up making new friends. This place is cozy and makes you feel at home.

The rating on booking is either manipulated or the worst joke...nothing connect the facility pics and reality!! we paid for 2 nights and run away as fast as we could after the first night !!! this place needs a full restoration otherwise its not suitable to have guests. everything is olddd and in bad shape. in my daughter room the ceiling litrerly crumble..the bedding is stained the blankes ripped dusty and smelly. we couldnt sleep all night and used our coats as blankets. And I didnt even statrt totalk about the washroom - we just didnt used it,hard to describe!!! we found out very quickly that there are so many so much better guest houses in such a better locations at half and even one third price. for sure my worst stay ever espacialy with 9+ booking rating

the only good thing we can say about this place is Annu the host she is very friendly and informative regarding the stay in leh and how to handle the first days at such hight. she was very helpful..but unfortunately thats the only small sunligjt in this guest house
