The only downside was the hot water not working in my room, but as soon as I let the staff know they brought me hot water for bathing. Other than that I have no complaints :)

The staff at Snow Lion are absolutely incredible! My plane was delayed several hours due to snowfall, but still, without fail, there was an airport transfer waiting for me when I arrived. As soon as I turned up at Snow Lion, I was immediately cared for and doted on, which was especially reassuring with the altitude sickness! The food was incredible, my room had a heater and ultimately it was a perfect arrival into Leh. The accommodation is only a 20 minute walk to the market too, and is located in a safe and quiet area.

The Booking.com ad displays this hotel accept credit cards, however they do not... They referred to use an app to pay my accommodation, trekking tour and meals with it, but they lack of a credit card reader device to charge. Breakfast is average.

Location is a little far from the main bazaar, however it is tranquil and safe. Hired a trekking tour directly with the hotel, they processed the trekking permit for me and even the hotel owner lent me a warm jacket and gloves... Drinking hot/cold water available during the whole stay...

Breakfast was sumptuous, tasty. Cooked with live by Mr. Manoj and his team. The hostess Anu was incredible. Warm, friendly, multi-tasking. Keeping every guest happy. She went out of her way to make the hotel like more than a home Arnav does not behave like the owner friendly, approachable, always ready to help at anytime.

My only issue was that the wifi was very unreliable, especially in the rooms. Since I can't get a working SIM card in Ladakh as a foreigner, this was a pain for me when I couldn't communicate with people because of weak wifi.

I had a very nice stay at Snow Lion. The room was comfortable and the bed was very cosy at night despite the cold temperatures outside! The staff was so friendly and helpful, even helping me find some local connections for my work. They also cook some delicious buffet meals!

Fantastic team: the best i met after 3 months in India (enthusiastic, helpful, friendly in the best way). The hotel is very nice, the rooms are great and nicely decorated (something so globaly inexistent in India). The breakfast is great too.

Truly an exceptional place. Very positive and involved staff members who will help you with anything, which especially since you'll need to acclimatize is really appreciated. Rooms were clean and nice, food is good, and anything from tours to medicine for altitude problems to money exchange can be arranged through the staff.

Everything was perfect!

Snow Lion is the best hotel in the world! I definitely recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful place! I was there for 10 days and I found friends for life and a home. Everyone working there will make you feel at home and easy with their smiles. The rooms are spatious and full of light and the garden is so beautiful. I loved the breakfast and the chai in the morning :)

I thought it was a wonderful experience staying there. It is an older property, but it is extremely fairly priced and the TLC offered by the staff more than makes up for it.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and given such good advice on the area. Each interaction with Arnab and Anu was thoughtful, kind, and sincere. The housekeeping and cooking staff were also wonderful. The room was clean and cozy, as described, a great value for the money. When we returned after a local trip, we were put in an even more comfortable room. This was truly a home base for us in Ladakh. Food was tasty and healthy too.

Not a lot.

Friendly, informed staff, particularly Anu who has a great sense of humour and is tireless in seeing to your every need. Great location with about 15 mins walk to town centre. Very flexible dining arrangements with good food. Tours and taxis arranged with fair prices and drivers known to the hotel. Too many positives to write about. Will definitely consider another visit and stay longer to visit some of the places we missed. This is one of those rare places where the hotel is comfortable and fellow travellers are happy to settle into somewhere which is clean and in which the beds are reasonably comfortable. It also affords possibilities to meet like-minded travellers to share the day's experience or arrange to travel together to share costs. If you're a traveller who expects Premier Inn type comfort, it is not for you. I equated it to staying at a friend's large house who has lived there a long time; it is very comfortable and your friend does not see the need to "modernise" it. That is not to say that the owners are indifferent to modernising; they are doing so, but these things take time and resources.

Wifi sometimes doesn’t work.

Staffs in hotel are so nice. They are always welcome you. They always help you if you need. Room is so clean. You can enjoy tea, foods, yoga and so on in a beautiful garden with flowers, actually I enjoyed tea there everyday. Wonderful hotel in leh!!
