Expected much more plush appointments in the room and Hotel. The price paid is largely going towards the Ganges view. But the stay could have been much more comfortable given the price paid.

The hotel is 100% value for money option to stay in Varanasi. It’s situated right on the ghat and even has private stairs to the river from inside of the hotel. The rooms are small but nice, service is good. Keep in mind that breakfast in all Varanasi hotels on the river are 100% vegetarian with no egg options.

WiFi is definitely an issue.

Boutique property of the Royal Nepali family has been converted into a beautiful hotel. The hotel is located at the Shivalaya Ghat and has a private steps leading to the Holy Ganga. The courtyard is well situated. The best part of our stay was the staff of the hotel. Courteous, helpful and always welcoming. The food is also amazing. This is a gem of a find. If your purpose is to go to the temples, ask for Sanjay. The hotel guide is awesome and will arrange for everything including wheelchair access should your party need one.

Great location facing Ganges. From roof top terrace, you can see people bathing and praying in Ganges. Sunrise from roof top is exceptional. Staff are kind and they try to do best to meet your request. You can also have a boat trip (need negotiation) from the Shivala Ghat. If you arrive/depart by taxi, you can ask porter to bring your suitcase.

The alleyway access to the hotel was a bit dirty but the highway is clean.

Beautiful boutique hotel with an excellent view of the Ganges. The terrace early morning is as blissful as it gets. Beautifully appointed rooms and great service. Easy access from inside the hotel to the river Ganga.

The hotel was conveniently located for our needs as we were there to perform religious rituals on the ghats. Our room was comfortable and clean. The hotel and the room had all the necessary amenities. The restaurant provided excellent food and was willing to accommodate our special dietary needs. We also appreciated the free entertainment (Indian music and singing) provided every evening. All hotel employees were always friendly, courteous and professional and they were willing to assist when we had special requests. Mr Uday, Mr. Krishna Gopal Pandey and Mr. Brahma Kumar provided exceptional service during our stay.

The property is bang on Shivala Ghat. You can see sunrise above the Ganges from your room; (Our's was Room No 103). It's in close proximity to Assi Ghat and Biswanath Temple. They've provided a guide (Pratik Mishra) with is whoade our stay much special who would take you to best places to visit and famous local cuisines. The property organizes classic concert ech evening which is awesome

Not worth the money. Food is too expensive.Better to stay in a cheaper hotel. There are other 5 star hotels at cheaper rate and its 100 times better than this. The reason they charge so high is cause of sivala ghat view which isnt great either. It's a 2 star hotel. Taxis cant reach the location and the taxi driver told me there are better options.Never book this hotel. The Guy who carried my luggage to the taxi stand charged me 100 Rs. (Returning back) Wifi is poor

Small nuisances for foreigners - safe box not working, told reception with no response, 1000am checkout and no extension even hotel arranged car at 1200, wait at the road over 5 min for the car...etc. nothing serious.
