The hotel restaurant no longer provides a hard copy menu, one has to click on a QR code which opens the menu on a smart phone - if you have one !! Which I don't.

Staff was not very attentive specially at the time of breakfast. We had to ask them multiple times to get get our stuff. Probably hotel was short staffed. At times it felt like staff members expected a tip.

Property is expansive and very well maintained. Check in experience was very smooth.

Waiting staff could do with being a bit more organised and attentive particularly compared to other hotels we stayed in Asia but on the whole not bad!

Beautifully decorated boutique feel to the hotel. Lovely pool and grounds right in the centre of Varanasi but out of the hustle and bustle and felt very safe. Great food choices and reception staff were outstanding.

Garden areas in front and behind need to be looked after. Back yard of restaurant needs more attention Regarding beautification since many guests take food outside. Jalebi counter looked a bit shabby

We really liked our stay at Taj Ganges. Unfortunately my friend and I got sick so we had to stay in our room instead of relaxing at the pool. Rupsa did her best to made our stay more comfortable. Big shoutout to her!

Wedding receptions and special events can be loud and a little disruptive if you are on the back side of the hotel. However, an un-asked for foot soak at 9pm more than made up for it, and we were so tired the wedding music did not disturb our rest!

Taj hospitality at a reasonable price! Every need is anticipated, the staff is welcoming, warm and friendly and exceptionally attentive. A special mention to Ravi at the spa - he accommodated our last minute request for spa services and worked with our tight schedule, all as if it was no trouble at all! He also gave me the recipe for the Spa’s detox tea - and this I won’t forget! The buffet restaurant is very good, but Veruna is top notch - excellent food and service, especially Vek, who was our waiter and suggested an Italian gin that was quite good. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!

Although it was not Hotel's fault, the traffic in Varanasi was suffocating. Choking traffic diluted the divine feeling of Viswanath temple and serenity of Taj hotel.

Typical Taj hospitality with excellence. Pleasant surprise of Republic Day celebration with Flag hoisting! staff were fantastic. Food is a little bland for South Indian tongue. Live music was invigorating and appropriate for elegant dining. Taj is never disappointing
