Nothing to complain about. Amazing hospitality. Perhaps the dorm beds could use some curtains. Everything else is perfect.

-Ran out of drinking water. Wasn't told that we can refill from the common water dispenser. Maybe a notice can be put up letting guests know the same. -Breakfast was served quite late despite the timing being 8.30 am onwards. -The dining area and table should be cleaned often. The area around the trash bin should be cleaned often. -A small microwave oven should be kept for those who want to heat up their food.

Birdhouse is a great place for budget travellers. Would definitely recommend it. The view. The ambience. Lisa the dog. The books. The sit-out area. Meeting and chatting with fellow travelers. Connectivity to places of interest. Can order food via Swiggy. Helpful sightseeing suggestions from Prajwal and Lily. We hired Kabir's auto for a full day trip in and around Coonoor. He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed every moment. Coonoor is not the typical commercialized, very crowded touristy place. That is a blessing.

Bed was comfortable but I'm very tall (6'5) and bed wasn't long enough! Not a problem for most I imagine!

Absence of a fan. Just a window isn't doing anyone any favours in a hill station. It's made night time claustrophobic, aided with minimal cross ventilation. Also, since this is a hostel, don't expect fresh towels/bedsheets everyday. Room was small for the price but overall okay okay. We stayed 4 days and maybe that's why it seemed worse. 1 or 2 days can be tolerated better.

Location was great, with an awesome backdrop of the township. Birds chirping around lend truth to the name of the place. Inhouse food was plain and super tasty.

The bunk beds were shaky, it was a bit inconvenient to climb up since it would shake a bunch. Since it was shaky, it would end up making a squeaky sounds anytime you moved in your sleep but luckily, most people in the room were tired enough that they didn't notice.

The breakfast was amazing, very well prepared and was a good comfort meal. The decor and overall vibe of the hostel was so nice, it is an artistic dream and a great escape for someone who is looking for some peace and time to be creative.

The bedsheets and pillows can be a little clean.

The hosts were amazing. It’s located in a beautiful place with a beautiful view and dogs. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay. Good food as well!!!!

Loved the accessibility of this stay and care taker who was very sweet.Would highly recommend this stay if you're a solo backpacker.I had the best solo trip till date here.Most of the sight seeing places are nearby.

Perfect place away from hustle and bustle of city life. This was my first hostel kind of experience and was exceptional. The interiors were neatly done, comfortable and quite soothing for perfect holiday. The staff were quite helpful and to mention, the special friend Maya, made it even more special. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.

It doesn't have a parking space for cars. Rest I can't single out any other thing they lack or which anybody won't like.

The shower pressure wasn’t great. Kind of a long walk to the property from the train/bus stops , but the hostel is located in a nice area outside of the main part of town and nearby pretty tea plantations.

The outdoor sitting area had a great view, they served some of the best coffee we had in all of India, room was clean, they let us store our stuff on the property after checkout while we waited for the bus, owner was friendly.
