Staff waistcoats were very dirty, and the room seemed dirty and dated with old tableclothes. New white linen would make the room brighter and seem cleaner. Food was nice.

We saw couple of cockroaches in the washroom. Hotel could do some pest control

Spacious room with all the amenities and clean bed linen and washroom. The BF spread was very good and the food was tasty. The staff made us comfortable and were ready to make whatever we liked.

This property has a beautiful classic heritage-style architecture. The staff were very attentive, particularly in the restaurant. The garden is well maintained and provides a pleasant atmosphere for sitting outside. The food was delicious and our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable stay with great service.

The hotel is getting a bit shabby in places especially round the pool. Also the final bill for food was very expensive with all the extra taxes . Almost 50% more than on the menu.

It was a different experience but the room walls are slightly dark which may be due to the palace kind of set up. Breakfast had limited variety.

this property is so charming. the staff are lovely & the gardens are so peaceful. the chai is delicious & breakfast abundant. it is away from all the hustle & bustle but is only a 10-15 minute tuk tuk ride from everything.

The dim lighting and the gloomy feeling

Pros: The food in the restaurant was great. The heritage feeling was good. Staff was courteous. The garden view and the swing in the garden are very nice. There was a puppet show in the evening that kids can enjoy. Cons: Rooms and even the bathroom felt a bit gloomy with the dim lighting Pool had rusted stairs.

Nice hotel with friendly staff (thanks Shabiya for the henna !). When my friend forgot her bag with her credit card and some cash the hotel organized to send a driver to drop it back in Delhi. Efficiency and honesty !

A lovely colonial building with lots of history. Some areas of the building and outside areas a little run down and the pool needs a refurbishment but it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Great value for money if you want to stay and visit Taj. The hotel manager was really friendly and he even upgraded my room. The facilities like the pool were nice to have with all the hustle and bustle of Agra.

- No natural light in the room. - Very humid and smelly room. - very noisy at night (we had a room close to the reception, and could hear every car passing by in the street) - Old bathroom that needs a renovation (plumbing in the shower for instance). - No hair dryer in the room and when I asked for one, I received an (very, very!!!) old and unhelpful (not to say useless…) one. - electrical sockets in a really bad state - swimming pool has seen better days - restaurant could be improved (light, tablecloths, painting…) - the building needs a global renovation - a person from the staff coming to our room while we were finishing to pack our staff and she didn’t leave when we asked for a few minutes (it wasn’t even 10am!). At the end she entered uninvited in our room to start cleaning! I have never seen that! Maybe she had a lot of work to do but it was way before the official checkout time and honestly very rude.

Room was just great - spacious and clean. Furniture and decorations - very cozy. Pool, inner courtyad, breakfast - everything was great.
