How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Hotel is stunning, grounds are beautiful. Three of us were given an apartment room which was spacious and clean.

The carper in the room is a bit old and traps fine dusty giving the room a funny smell I wouldn’t expect for a 5 star hotel.
The location is great close to Ambience Mall, walkable distance. The lobby and reception area have great designs.

Staff behaviour & hospitality. We came to Delhi for a short 2 day trip. On the first day we stayed in Taj palace and the second day since we had some work in Vasant Kunj, we opted for this hotel. However, our experience was poles apart! The staff here needs to take some workshop in hospitality. While booking i didn’t realise that our breakfast was not included, so when we got there the staff told us the same. We agreed to pay at the checkout but 15 mins later a person came knocking to our room that we need to pay then and there! We told them we are in hurry and packing and we are going to pay at checkout, but no avail. The hotel management things people will run away without paying for breakfast! Incredibly stupid and annoying. Things like this differentiate one passable hotel from a good hotel!
Location- near the airport and near the major malls in Vasant kunj. It is beautifully made

Hotel not well maintained.Not upto a five Star standard.Breakfast buffet was very limited & service was not good. The room keys never worked.

we asked for the porter to shift our luggage to the entrance. No one came for 20-25 minutes seven after calling twice. Finally we have to move our luggage ourselves after 25 minutes.

I took a smoking room and the price I paid for it wasn’t just worth it.rooms are worn down and the in room facilities were not there at all compared to other five star properties .No mini bar,no shoe shiner,No bathroom slipper or robes, the room had a bad stench during my checkin which I told them to get it sorted ,bathtub didn’t have a drainage stopper(which I also had to call for ) smoking room had no ash tray ,no match box,room size was nothing exceptional given the charges of 12500/- per night including late check out (no breakfast) the television was not running properly which I had to get it changed .also within 24 hours of my stay the safety deposit locker also didn’t work while I was checking out to pick up my belongings ,for which the maintenance staff said that the battery could be worn out and he had to open it manually with a key!
the hotel itself on the interiors is gorgeous!great lobby and a huge coffee shop! the outlook and location is nice. Ms. Sonam Goswami at the reception incharge of guest relations made sure all my complaints were taken care of.

It's an old hotel. The door lock of my room had a trouble. The house keeping staff enters the room with their masterkey anytime . No way to tell the staff whether I wanted them to clean my room or not. No tags to be hanged on the door handle. Understaffed
Hotel is located close to 3 huge malls, market is nearby. Huge building, swimming pool, lawn.

Room was OK. There were issues with the Bathroom 1.) No Hand towel. What 5 Star today does not provide a hand towel. I had to use a bath towel. 2.) Water taps at the wash basin leaked all over the sink. 3.) Head shower in the bath area not serviced probably ever. Water was shooting in all directions.

One of the pillowcases was dirty and had hair on it. There were no face and hand towels provided at the beginning (though they were provided once we requested them). The electrical outlet came out of the wall when I pulled the hairdryer out. The reception staff didn’t respond to messages sent via Booking.com. Answers came through only after we called the hotel from a local number. How are people booking from abroad expected to get in touch with the hotel?!
The room and bathroom were spacious. Good for travelers with suitcases …

Bathroom did not have all the essentials like dental kit, soap stand at sink. The toilet bidet was leaking.
