United KingdomService could be better at the green house restaurant (where breakfast is served) - the waiters are poor at attending to guests. Our accommodation was a beautiful spacious suite, but unfortunately the sound of the TV & chatter from the room next door kept us up all night - the soundproofing is very poor, which I suppose is to be expected from such an old building.
Stunning heritage property, friendly staff, very clean, with a lovely homely & nostalgic feel. The rooftop restaurant Agashiye is in a beautiful setting with mouth-wateringly delicious food served by friendly & efficient staff, along with melodic live music. Great location to roam the old streets & tour the amazing heritage sights of old ahmedabad.

United StatesThis hotel is special and I will stay here again when I return to Ahmedabad. My problem has to do with the loud noise of pots and pans banging between 11 and 12 every night. My room (314) was not near the kitchen so I really do not understand where the noise was coming from. If the noise was gone, I would rate House of MG a 9 or 9.5.
The property itself is beautiful and my room was spacious, well-appointed, with nice linens. Everyone working there, from the front desk to room cleaning was very helpful and congenial - someone at the front desk even helped me locate a hair salon and the general post office.

An amazing heritage hotel, that really embraced its Gujarat heritage. Not just another boring chain hotel. Location was superb within the original old town area, indeed offering walking tours of all the remaining world heritage rated housing. Huge complex, fully restored to its original status, but incorporating all the modern facilities expected in a tourist hotel.

This is a gorgeous property and I spent a good amount of time just exploring all the nooks. We enjoyed meals in the ground floor courtyard restaurant that had some international options that did not have the usual overwhelming chills that make everything so hot.

United KingdomOn night we booked to go to Agashiye, the person at Agashiye desk was rude and kept on talking to another staff about his personal life instead of focusing on customer. Apart from that, there was not another thing we did not like.
Absolutely superb heritage hotel. Our suite was amazing, and staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Food at Green house restaurant was just fantastic. If you are planning to stay in Ahmedabad, this has to be the place.

This is a delightful hotel in a beautiful heritage building. Our room was huge and very comfortable, with lots of little spaces to relax nearby. The decor in the hotel is beautiful, and staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast in the Green Cafe was excellent, as was the all-day menu. The Thali dinner served on the upstairs terrace was superb!
