Food is definitely not value for money. Guests should be tempted not to leave the hotel for a meal but looking at food prices, it doesn't make sense to dine in the hotel, unless no choice available, which was kind of our situation for dinner on the first night of our stay!

Poor communication by hotel to guest eg did not inform us that breakfast had been relocated by a note or sign. All the external fountains are permanently off so why have them? Housekeeping rationed out items such as toilet paper so we were regularly running out. The in room dining had no food other than Indian after 11pm and no dessert. That was a poor selection. Constant errors with in room dining was frustrating. Transfer to hotel was overpriced and the TV entertainment was horrible.

My family and I, including my wife, daughter and 9-year-old son, stayed at The Lalit Hotel in Chandigarh for one night while in transit to Shimla from Mumbai. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find our room equipped with two single beds despite the fact that we were travelling as a family. When I requested the front desk staff to join the beds for a more comfortable arrangement, they unhelpfully refused, stating it was not possible. Contrary to this, we found it quite easy to do so ourselves, which was a clear indication of the staff's reluctance to assist. Additionally, the room's lack of a view was another downside, with a mere wall in front of the window. This was unlike any hotel room we've ever stayed in, also rooms were filthy, bed sheets were not clean, the bathroom was unhygienic. Breakfast was equally disappointing. The staff's demeanor suggested they were doing us a favor by serving, showing a clear lack of cooperation and reluctance to serve. To add to this, the quality of the food was subpar. Overall, our experience at The Lalit was unsatisfactory, leading us to recommend established brands for a more reliable and enjoyable stay."

Rooms are not clean - dusty & I had cockroaches in my room & bathroom. Staff were not attentive - first night I ordered dinner in room - they didn’t deliver my complete order & felt the need to argue about what I ordered. At breakfast staff were VERY slow & also not attentive - Twice I asked for coffee / cappuccino & it was not delivered & they gave my breakfast order to someone else… They have functions a the pool that are VERY loud & they are not able to accommodate customers who are affected. The lifts kept being broken. All & all my stay was not good & I would not recommend this hotel to business travelers

Not a luxury hotel. The luxury room was at par with done basic room filled with dust unclean tv bot working minibar was empty coffee tea making option limited ,woke up to bed sore chairs sofa was unclean Breakfast was a struggle poor quality just basics..staff looked like struggling. We requested for a celebration cake for our daughter and it took 3 hours for them to arrange it Not recommend

Pathetic room service. My kid vomited in the room and I asked the staff to clean it, but I was just waiting for almost 2 hours with nothing being done besides my repeated calls to the room service. Then I had to step down to the lobby and shout at the staff and the manager on duty, after which it was taken care of. It is just an example, the room service is pathetic and I would rate it as Zero out of 10
