Very expensive for below average rooms, beds and washroom. It had rained and the pathway was filled with water, no draining system or atleast keep bricks so that people don't wet their footwear. So basic.

Room was incredibly stuffy, hot and dark and smelled badly of body odour. Vibes were okay but definitely had the potential to be much better.

Rooms were a little basic, and a little bit behind with the room set up, but very much acceptable considering how busy it was! Very few faults.

Great vibe! The place was really fun, great outside area for games and to relax, and easy to meet lovely people! The rooms were good but basic, beds had a curtain which was good and AC which was needed! The food was also delicious at a decent price, overall good experience!

Cramped room. The bathroom on my floor was not very clean, and the toiletpapier in that bathroom was not regularly restocked.

If you are a girl solo traveller then you can't go out like after 10 alone without someone or you may can but like people will stare at you. It's not goa keep that in mind.

On website it shows that payment on property. But after they ask to deposit money in the bank or UPI. It can be okay for Indian people but it can be difficult for people who are in foreign country. International take more charges. Better to charge from booking.com

It was a hostel, not a hotel, and I spent one of my nights in a dorm, so there are bound to be drawbacks. Would have been nice to buy beers at the hostel, but then it's Kerala so you can't have everything. At least you could bring it in.

I came here with a friend but when I was travelling alone a week later, I missed this place. Sociable and lively. Met lovely people, lots of communal social space but also my room was basic but comfortable, as was the dorm I stayed in the second night. Couldn't buy beers but it wasn't far from a shop where we could. And you could get good sandwiches and soft drinks, and you were right next to all the good restaurants and seconds from the beach. I was gutted when I found out there was a sister hostel in Palolem, Goa, and I had booked into another, less social place.

We picked the hostel on the hopes of meeting people. We signed up for the weekly “family dinner” at 7.30pm on Monday nights however only 3-4 others actually joined. I felt that the hostel oversells how social it is but also we might have just picked an unlucky time to be there. The staff didn’t seem well aware of the nightly program offered e.g. Tuesday open mic night, nightly star gazing, yoga didn’t seem to happen or we were not made aware of it. Staff didn’t seem to have a great knowledge of the local area advising us there was no nearby atm when we later found one on the street of lost hostel. The listing says they will help with airport transfers but this was not the case. I’d recommend to the owner to not advertise the nightly events if the team on the ground are not going to help get guests excited by them and signed up.

The lost hostel is no doubt excellent value and in an excellent location. We stayed in the private room which was clean and had good working aircon. Safe drinking water provided was a plus. The family dinner was delish and good value.

Livelyness of this place❤️….you won’t feel alone here there is always someone accompanying you and talkative and friendly people. Even the staffs are very friendly. Especially Noor and Pintu bhaiya was so friendly and warming.

Facilities are rather basic. That’s ok for the dorms, but the private rooms are a bit too pricey for what you get.

The bathroom, while cleaned every day, never stayed clean. Seemed constantly dirty. Also the ratio of bathrooms to lodgers is super unfortunate. Three dorms sharing one toilet/shower combo so mornings and evenings are a bummer.

Great location in Varkala! The room was comfortable and each bed had a curtain, light, and international outlet. Communal kitchen is definitely a plus for making meals/snacks. Common spaces are also lovely and very social.
