Room is small and only 1 bathroom in one floor for 10 to 15 people which is outside the room, need to go around in search of vacant washroom.

Had requested for early check-in around 12.00-1.00pm and the host accepted for it. But when we reached there around 12.30pm, the staff had no idea on my request and told us only by 2.00pm we can check-in and did the same. Rooms could have been little more neat, bath room to be definitely renovated (the western toilet, flush). Though its an hostel, Water Can could have been provided to each floor. Else each time have to claim down from 2nd floor to ground floor to bring water and finally the water taste from the RO filter was worst, it has to be checked by the management.

Raman, the manager at the property, is such a genuine and kind chap, he was authentic from the time I met him and until the time I left the hostel. He embodies the hostel spirit in his work, he is an approachable person, so very kind :D. The cook, Pinto, was also a total treat. Together they made my stay there so memorable and jovial. I love them both to the moon adn back. Limitlessly grateful to you two. Thank you for always being there and helping out in every way.

Lockers had this tiny hole that allowed only small locks which I had to search around to buy. The shower head is old and makes for an awkward water stream (mostly going towards the wall) The room was small.

Clean and comfy, location is super good. Common area is great for socializing. Air conditioner is a life saver.

One washroom for two six bed dorms (12 people).

Everything else. Raman manages the property very well and ensures your stay is hassle free. He also ensures that as a solo traveller you don't feel left out. Pintu cooks amazing food. If you are looking for great home cooked north Indian meals, you won't get it better than from Pintu's kitchen. Best part is you get to see an amazing sunset over the sea every evening right from the hostel. Had booked only for 5 nights but ended up staying for 2 weeks.

Superb location and lovely vibes. I took the sea view room and it was amazing. The only issue was the fan and it kept making sounds throughout the night. The hostel could fix these basic amenities to make the stay more comfortable. But for this price it is a steal. The property manager is also a sweet chap. Would highly recommend.

It's just the best hostel to stay at in Varkala! I stayed there many days. It is maybe not the highest standart, but you have a nice common area, you meet a lot of cool people from all over the world. They have some activities to bring you together. We had a great movie night, Jam sessions with the guitar and celebration of Holi, that was a lot of fun. The staff is great and very helpful! Its right in the centre of Varkala.

The size of the dorm was tiny for six people, no good ventilation, just one fan which was not doing its job as the property was next to beach so a lot humid, could not sleep properly in such hot. Also, there was a single bathroom among two dorms which accommodated 12 people. Also cleaning the bathroom was not timely.

The property is located on the cliff beach, all shops were at walking distance, nearby cafes to explore. Also, the beach was easily accessible. A common kitchen where you can cook.

Still a bit pricey for what you get. On weekends it’s much more expensive. But maybe that’s everywhere like that.

When I didn’t feel good the staff was helpful. Especially the volunteer girl Bhawana was very nice and came to me to the hospital.

I stopped by the hostel before checking-in. The place looked amazing. A great location at the edge of North cliff. Amazing patio with seating, helpful staff. I was looking forward to stay but unfortunately I had an injury and had to go to a hospital instead. The injury required stitches and it took over a month to heal. The staff and the manager helped me to cancel my booking and get my money back. If I ever return to Varkala, I hope to stay with them!

There lost hostel was supposed to have an energetic and exciting vibe which it greatly lacked. There were no events or activities being planned like other hostels. It had a pretty boring ambiance. There was a small cafe in the common area but the beverages were too expensive but really average. The common area did not seem very clean and maintained. We accidentally booked the non ac dorm because the fact that it was non ac was not explicitly mentioned on the website which is very misleading. The kitchen was extremely dirty. The bedding of the dorm beds can be really improved for the money the hostel is charging. And the staff were very rude and unapproachable. There was one particular staff who did not speak properly and was really rude. I have stayed in better hostels and this does not compare to that. The quality and standard of living can really be improved.

The property was in a good location walking distance from the beach so it was convenient and accessible.
