Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaBreakfast could be improved (at least with pancakes). The options for non Indian are too limited.
The location was exceptional, a bit out of town, but in the nature. Excellent views over the mountains. Rooms were perfectly clean, with new furniture, with a bit of local air.

United StatesRustic and beautiful country side feel with solitude, where one can relax and be one with nature. Though this property comes with a view of the Kanchenjunga range, we were a bit unfortunate not to see it due to very thick cloud cover of the peak during our stay. We would definitely stay at this property again if visiting Pelling Thanks to all the staff at the property who made us feel very welcome..

IndiaThe word Farmstay is misleading. No farming was being done there at all. It will be an added benefit if the property can start farming for guests to experience staying at a farm.
Excellent location far from the town in a remote location with tranquil surroundings and awesome view of the Kanchengenga peak. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and we'll equipped. Would like to make a special mention of the manager who was very friendly and attended to all our requirements in a timely manner. Food was good and service was the best.

IndiaNothing really! Seemed a bit far of initially but not an issue if you have your car/ taxi.
Everything! Lovely little place with nice rooms/villas, open spaces and greenery unlike most properties in Pelling that are on the road. Breathtaking view of ‘The Kanchenjunga’. The restaurant is nice - serve simple tasty meals; we loved our breakfasts and they play great music. But what we liked most are their fantastic staff - hats off to Govind and team for providing great service with a smile! Nettle and Fern is where we will stay whenever we visit Sikkim next…

Italycommunication and organization with the staff members is quite difficult
A hidden gem in Pelling! This farm stay is the ultimate destination when visiting this region. Surrounded by nature and offering a breathtaking view, we could even see the Kangchenjunga from our bed. The room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. We particularly cherished our dinner and breakfast on the hotel's terrace. However, it's essential to have plenty of patience because communicating with the staff can be challenging, and understanding each other is even more so. The farm stay is located approximately 35 minutes on foot from the nearest town, and the staff wasn't very helpful in arranging transportation, even a taxi (referred to as a tourist vehicle). One important note: Despite what booking.com may indicate about free booking and cancellation, a 10% deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

IndiaNot that we can think of at the moment.
After a long drive from the Hills of Darjeeling in West Bengal to this place in the Hills of Sikkim. The most beautiful place to stay. The location is way beautiful. The hospitality is just awesome. The staff here is too kind and generous. A must visit.

IndiaHowever, we were slightly disappointed with the dinner options. We had hoped for a lighter meal, but unfortunately, only a buffet was available during our stay. We were informed that the buffet was organized when the number of occupied rooms was higher. While we understand the logistical reasons behind this decision, it would have been more convenient if there were alternative dining options to cater to varying preferences and appetites
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming farmstay from 5-7 June, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking view of the majestic Kanchenjungha mountain range. Waking up to such a stunning sight every morning was truly rejuvenating, and the tranquil atmosphere amidst the mountains added to the sense of relaxation. The farmstay's commitment to sustainability was commendable. It was evident that they prioritised eco-friendly practices, which was evident in their use of renewable energy sources and their efforts to minimize waste. This added an extra layer of appreciation for the property. Despite this minor inconvenience, our farmstay experience was still wonderful. The location, perched on the mountainside and overlooking the picturesque valley, was truly remarkable. The serenity and natural beauty of the surroundings made it a memorable retreat. We would certainly recommend this farmstay to anyone seeking a peaceful and sustainable getaway amidst nature's splendor.

IndiaSince this place is located a few KMs away from the main town, one has to manage with whatever food options are available with them.
This place is located a few KMs away from the Pelling town. This infact makes it even more ideal as you get the feel that you are by yourself in the mountain. Rooms are surrounded by plantation making the expereince very fresh. The staff is very friendly and accomodative. They also have board games, badminton racquets and books available. After spending the day at a local tour, there is enough activities available for kids to keep themselves busy. This can be an ideal place for a small goup of friends to have fun as plenty of outdoor area is available.
