Although well-maintained, the hotel is quite an old property. There are two problems connected to the age of the property. One, the most significant - while there are new ac units in every room, the old ac vents of the centralised ac system are still in place and these connect all the rooms to a common channel above the central corridor. This means that you can clearly hear what the people in the next room across the corridor are saying and vice versa. Second, the tiling on the floor of the rooms is of a particular ridged design. Due to this, the regular cleaning and mopping is unable to take up all the fine dust that settles in these ridges. So when you come out of the bathroom with wet slippers/ wet feet, you will end up with dirty footmarks on the floor/ dirty feet.

The hotel is in a prime location, well placed for all the important centres of the city. Also, it is very well known, so getting to it on taxi or auto is easy. The staff are super friendly and efficient. I would particularly like to highlight the Front Desk staff Antimola, Shikyi, Tia as well as Venga and Lungzhou, who are the cafe staff at Jonathan's Corner, the in-house cafe. Really good coffee, too!

we had a room next to the road and was noisy, not so bad at night. service was a slow and the taxi for 1/2 hour ride to the airport was a rip off!

This is an old hotel (probably one of the nicest hotels since 1980s) that being said the rooms show signs of aging. Nevertheless, this place is well maintained - the AC worked perfectly well and the bed was comfy, as well as the bathroom was clean - that is all that matters. Excellent WiFi.

Extremely, helpful staff. For example, I called them from the train station and they directed the Auto rickshaw driver several times. The food was very good - both the breakfast and the dinner items. Breakfast could have a bit more variety but all in all it was great!

Staffs were very helpful. I went with my kid and family. During night time I required some hing(asafoetida) for my kid due to his gas problem. Staffs were so helpful that they have find out some ajwain which was available in their kitchen which could be alternatively used.

Probably an option of lift would have been better as we had few elderly family members who were 60 yrs above and they found difficult to climb the stairs.

The information that the hotel was being renovated should have been communicated. This information is not available on Booking.com The television does not work as there is no signal! There is no hot water in the bathroom, the staff bring the hot water to the bathroom in buckets. Since it was being renovated breakfast was being sent up to the room which was inconvenient as if you wanted a second cup of coffee you had to ring the restaurant and ask for it to be sent up.

The staff was the saving point - they were extremely gracious and helpful.
