We visited in winter, so room was a bit cold even with blankets provided. Otherwise, everything else was good.

The location of the Hostel is very central. They have some very informative posters about Nagaland set up in the common area.

The price I booked was overpriced..it's not worth than 700-1000. There was no hook or anything to put clothes in the bathroom.

The location is awesome & the view from the rooms & sitting area is great .

There are only 2 bathrooms for shower & 2 toilets for a capacity of 20+ people. We did not have any problem since there were hardly 7-8 people staying while we were there but during times when it's running on a full occupancy, it could take some time to get your turn to use the washrooms!

The location and views were the best part of the hostel. There are restaurants, cafes, market, places to visit, taxi stand all at walkable distance. The owners are friendly too. The dorms are spacious, clean and the common area is huge. Great value for the amount you pay. The common room and dorms open up to a great city view of Kohima and sunset hours look magical through the glass walls. The recommendations, routes and places to visit around are very well jotted down on a map that is accessible to all guests. Highly recommended!

The shared bathrooms lacked basic hygiene and even the dorm beds were kind of untidy and unclean.

It could've been a little bit cleaner!

It had a quiet ambience and homely feel to it. Perfect for those on budget especially for aspirants, students and even those travelling for work! The view is exceedingly beautiful at night! :)

The beds are not comfortable. The pillows are too old and too thin. No proper locker facility available to keep your stuffs.

The location is superb it is located in the main city. The view from the room is really nice. the common room is also present.

Take care of your belongings there. When I stayed, there were 2 instances of theft. So be careful Otherwise it's good

Everything was good. Dorms were good, common space was also nice. But there was no place to hang your clothes. Also there's only two bathrooms and washrooms for lot of people.

One of the bunk beds was kind of broken, even though we managed to sleep but we were lucky that it didn't fall on any one of us.

We were a group of 3 girls and 3 guys. I had requested an entire dorm for us and they happily obliged. The dorm was big enough to play football in it. The washrooms were clean. We really enjoyed our stay in this hostel. Also the location is just 1 min walk from the centre of Kohima. On the last day I had requested to checkout at 2pm instead of 11am and that also they agreed. If you require any kind of suggestions regarding food or travel in Kohima the owner happily helps. So if you are looking for a budget stay in Kohima, please try Mechuki.

The bathroom +sinks should be cleaner properly. The floor shall be dryed to avoid slippery.

The bathroom has to be cleaner because there are a lot of beds, hence a lot of people and hence washroom has to be cleaner.

Overall it meets the expectations but during peak season like Hornbill the Hostel needs additional toilets.

I loved the stay this hostel is more than a living. You get a view, access to tourist attractions, people from all over the globe. Ma'am and Kuku are down to earth, humble personalities and everything is calmly managed by the entire family. Very kind people and I liked the self check-in process. Rooms are very spacious with a bonus of Kohima Valley view. Thanks to 24×7 Geyser facility and Electric Airpot for making premix instant beverages.
