How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hosts were amazing and incredibly helpful, organizing a driver and various activities for us and answering all our questions. They also provided breakfast. Definitely bring warm layers if you’re coming in the Winter months, it can get quite chilly in the rooms!

This was the perfect place to stay if you want to see the Taj Mahal and other attractions in Agra. Brilliant and helpful hosts and amazing food for breakfast and dinner if asked :)

Great accomodation, the staff is really friendly and helpful. They made a delicious home cooked meal for us. Close to Taj Mahal, about 15 minutes walk. We went there before the sunrise but it was foggy, maybe it’s better to go during the day or at sunset.

Hot water can be hit or miss and the rooms can get cold, but it's like that everywhere in north India so I wouldn't really point fingers
- Vabhie is the best host I can think of and will make the impossible to make you feel like you are having a great stay. - The rooms are big and clean and close to the Taj Mahal. - Bed quality very high - Very good breakfast

A lovely family run hotel. Vabhie, the manager, was very helpful and always checked that everything was okay. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and the breakfast on the roof terrace was very nice. It is in a good location just 10 minutes walk down to the Taj Mahal.

All good. Simple breakfast
Good location. Very clean. Traditional Indian decor. Excellent pre check in communication with Vabhie. Reasonably quiet despite all the building work in Agra

Nothing. But more a hotel than a traditional homestay.
Set in a side street about 15 minutes from the Taj Mahal (flat walk no traffic with an electric bus if you don't want to walk for 20 p each way). Attentive helpful owner Vaibhe). Good choice for breakfast. Restful pleasant stay.

This was the best hotel we’ve stayed in in India so far. Very good value for money. Room was big and there was a lovely rooftop terrace where we had dinner and breakfast. Both were very tasty and freshly made. Vabhie arranged a good tour guide for us to visit Taj Mahal and Agra fort. He was a great and helpful host overall!

A really special and spacious home stay. I was made to feel very welcome. Additionally it is in walking distance to the Taj Mahal and shops, yet in a quiet street.

Position very close to Taj Mahal (perfect for visiting at sunrise). Kindness and availability of owners. I was a bit sick and they helped me a lot to take care and rest in the best way possible. They also helped me to organise my tour to the city by hiring a guide for me. Best experience ever. Thank you

Situated within walking distance from the Taj Mahal, Udees is the ideal place to stay if you want to catch the sunrise over the Taj. Our host, Vabhie, made us very welcome in his home. Our room was well appointed and clean and breakfast on the roof terrace was nice also.

The wifi sometimes was slow, it was hard to get an Uber from the hotel since it is in a closed zone where taxis are not allowed.
The host was attentive, flexible and extremely helpful. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and huge private bathroom. The place was quiet, 15mins walk from the Taj Mahal. The breakfast was okay, simple but enough.

The included breakfast is basic, but for the price it is more than acceptable.
The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The A/C works well and the price is great. For the price, this is a great property. I noticed the owner checking in on a solo traveler who had not arrived back from a tour as expected. It showed me they really care about their guest. Very nice people.

Udees’s place is perfect for a stay in Agra. The location was great. It’s literally a 10 minutes walk to the Taj Mahal. There are lots of restaurants around. It’s completely quiet. spotless clean and comfortable and provide help when you could need. Nice breakfast and dinner. I️ would 100% recommend a stay here.
