Breakfast times were a little chaotic especially during the peak hours but the F&B staff tried their best to keep up.

The room, the staff, the pool, the food, the décor and the property in general - everything was absolutely exquisite and top notch. We traveled with our little ones and the staff took utmost care of the smallest of details. The housekeeping staff (Anamika & Rameshwar) and Sameer and Swaroop Singh ji from the front desk were extremely warm, helpful and proactive and ensured that we had a memorable stay.

We checked in on 2nd Nov to celebrate our wedding anniversary on 3rd. We have always been Taj lovers, but the people at Umaid Bhawan took the definition of quality, class, and service to a whole new dimension. Truly, no words to describe our experience at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace. Started off with an amazing welcome befitting royal family followed by a warm smiling team helping us all the way to our rooms. We received a complimentary upgrade (We had booked 2 rooms as there were 4 of us - My wife, me our 13 and 9-year-old boys). The royal suites are classy and super spacious with amazing decorations. Again nothing less expected in a room where erstwhile royals used to live! The property itself is big and very very well maintained. The outdoor swimming pool was open, but the famed indoor pool was unfortunately closed due to Covid restrictions. We had a great Diwali dinner under the stars, with live Rajashtahi and Sufi performances. Would like to thank all the staff and team for this once-in-a-lifetime experience! We had to get the lights turned on at night for the lawns. Check in was not seamless despite sharing IDs in advance. No one receives you at the entry that we expected. The AC of Rathore hall was turned off. We had to make do with a farrata fan. Lobby lacks AC

Great photo ops. Huge imposing buiding. Nice views. Good tour of the palace. Beautiful architecture. Dhruv and bhopal ji were nice and helpful. Palace lawns are nice.

The service could have been a little better. Small errors throughout the service. The food too could have been better. If this is meant to be the most premium of Taj properties, they need to have one of the best chefs in India. That was not the case. The cocktails were also lacking class. Fair tasting but not exceptional.

The property was grand. Amazing gardens. Lavishly built. Dhruv was quite informative and helpful.

It is rather far from the town, so you need to shuttle back and forth. That's the price to pay for staying in this palace...

Incredible staff - very friendly, made you feel quite welcome. The setting is of course spectacular - Yes, you are staying in a palace built for a king and if feels and looks like it. The gardens are beautiful, the palace is gorgeous.
