Property manager Mr Waseem also runs a travel desk. We hired Innova car through him for 4 days. We had worst experience of our life with driver Asif. He dumped us in another vehicle in the rain at Tangmarg which belonged to his friend Maroof. He did not take to Gulmarg as agreed. Other person charged us extra 9000 rupees. Next day Asif did not turn up and sent his brother Rayees with another vehicle. On his first day behaved reasonably well but on last day at Sonmarg, he did not take us to taxi union office and took us to a place where touts were seating. We wanted to go to Zojila pass. The road was closed for 4 days. Local people knew it and those touts agreed to take up to Baltal. But right on the border of Sonmarg, traffic was stopped. Tout driver started asking for full payment of 4000 Rupees for total 3 km drive. As this arguments were going on, other tourists joined us. They were also duped like us. They showed us the Taxi union office and recommended to go there and make a complaint. Ultimately we settled for 500 rupees and 2 hours of time. if our taxi driver would have taken us to Taxi union office, they would have straight told us that road ahead of Sonmarg are closed. At Pahelgam, we had gone straight to Taxi Union office from where we could get good vehicle to go to Aru Valley, Betab Valley and Chandanwadi at a rate fixed by Taxi union. We have absolutely no problem with Mr Waseem. He has been very nice with us. He went out of the way to drop us near main road in his personal car on day one.

Location: 25 min walk from the nearest main road. Good lucking getting transport to anywhere.

Clean and comfortable, with balconies and a yard both with excellent views. A hall to chill equipped with board games. A dining hall for meals. Friendly staff. The receptionist will help with cab bookings, etc.

The hostel is new, and located in a quite and residential area. Close to the lake but would require a ride to get to the old town. The owner and the staff were incredible, super friendly and supportive. They would go above and beyond to help. There is a kitchen and a dining area where they serve delicious and affordable food.

I loved the topmost floor which had a chilling area with an amazing view of the Dal lake. The host (Wasim Bhai) made sure I was warm and comfortable. This hostel is a true value for money in comparison to other well-known brands. Plus the environment is so chill.

1. Friendly hospitality 2. Whostel is very neat and clean 3. Awesome ambience with Mountain View from the garden and balcony 4. Lot of games in lobby and play area for badminton. 5. The guy Wasim was so helpful to arrange and coordinate everything for each and everything . 6. Very affordable for solo and group travellers.

It's definitely not in the city center. But it does have a beautiful view and quiet..

The staff are amazing. They helped me overcome a major obstacle to visiting Kashmir. Taking me to the one place in the city where a foreigner can get a tourist sim card and help through the process. I can't say enough about how great they have been. I have a beautiful room with great hot water pressure. Nice dining room where I was able to meet fellow travelers. Great help planning trips to the nearby mountains. 2 thumbs up.

Perfect location if you have plans for Visiting Srinagar sight seeing & Somarg. Stay was very Comfortable & Food was soo good. We really felt at home as the ambience & staff are very welcoming. Khawa was our favourite there & Paratha's. I recommend this place.

The location was a bit away from town were we can get transportation. Especially during night time we will not find any cabs or buses

They provide electric blankets, hot water, and decent affordable meals round the clock. Staff hies above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. Wasim bhai, the manager/owner is also a travel consultant - so not only will he ensure you have a comfortable stay, but he will make sure your visit to Srinagar is worth it. He will share tips about offbeat places within Srinagar and will even advise you on trips to places like Pahalgam and Gulmarg so that you don’t end up spending more than necessary. Also, my flight was rescheduled by an 1.5hrs early and instead of me waiting for a taxi, Wasim bhai himself dropped me to the airport, on time! :)

The location of the hostel is a little far away from the centre you will need private transportation or shared taxis to reach there.

The staff and hosts were very good and helped me a lot . They guided me which places to visit and how to reach the places at affordable price The hostel was very clean and well maintained The views from the hostel were mesmerizing especially in winters during snowfall

Staying in this hostel was absolutely beautiful, calm, and peaceful. Surrounded by mountain chains from three sides, with a mesmerizing view of Dal Lake from the balcony, it was truly enchanting. Additionally, the staff was very helpful, and the hotel was impeccably clean. The heating arrangement was also good with room heater and hot water bottles provided Definitely value for the money. I would recommend everyone to stay at this hostel."
