Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IndiaI wish there was a lift/elevator!
The view of snow capped mountains from all windows is fantastic. The room size is big and the king size beds very comfortable. The room can easily accommodate 4 pax. We are 3 seniors who visited in April 2024 for 4 nights. It's was cold. Very cold. First night we were provided with 3 room heaters. Remaining 3 nights Mr. Stanzin had instructed the staff to switch on central heating. We did not need room heaters after that. Even the washroom was warm! We stayed in Room 308. The breakfast spread looked good however we stuck with toast butter & coffee. We spent our first day in the hotel acclimatising. Had delicious Chicken Thupka Soup for lunch. Mr. Stanzin's communication from the time of booking was prompt and I appreciate that. I had a lot of questions which were replied to immediately even though he had other urgent personal matters to take care of. All staff were very helpful & polite. Arjun at the reception took care of our needs. Thanks to all of them

IndiaHeating is limited, we felt. Say for example, heating starts from 4.00 pm, but closes somewhere in the night. So sometimes we felt too hot, or a little too cold. We are sure this could be rectified easily. *Also for a double bed one full mattress would be ideal, than two mattresses joined together. Thank you!
Location is excellent. Super nice view. Super friendly staff and respectful. Breakfast was good and requests were accommodated for individuals. Early check-in accommodated. Friendly advice on how and what to do in Ladhakh and how to go about permits for foreigners etc...

AustraliaThe only drawback was the distance from Centre of town but not a major issue.
Spacious room, stunning view with all day sunshine flooding into our room, helpful staff, delicious food, piping hot shower which is a bonus given we are staying here in winter (-10 degrees C). The hotel is located in a quiet part of town, about 2k from the main market. The hotel also arranged out permits for us, motorbike hire and excellent taxi (who also took us out to Pangong Lake).

Owner was very accommodating on any requests. Room had a balcony with an excellent view All basic amenities were there in the room. In room dining food was great.

United StatesSometimes there was a very strong smell in the lower level from the central kerosene heater. I’m not sure how feasible it would be to fix that and I did appreciate my warm room and hot water.
My daughter and I enjoyed our time in Leh. The hotel staff was incredibly thoughtful and friendly, and made arrangements for a driver who spoke English and took us to many beautiful places. Coming back to the hotel after a day of site seeing was comforting- warm room with a cup of tea and a sunny window to view the mountains.

GermanyThe hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. Call a taxi, book a day trip, help carrying the bags - even without asking, offer some serious help in medical emergencies etc. Every demand - they were on it and made it happen ASAP. That being said, we visited Leh to the end of the season where occupation of the hotel was low. The hotelier speaks English fluently and with little accent. Therefore communication is simply great and uncomplicated. Even after the stay the owner helped us with some issues in our next destination. The room is plenty big, has a heating and hot water in November, which we heard is not to take for granted. There is a balcony and a roof top for sitting outside. Breakfast was decent. In conclusion, we sincerely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

United KingdomThe hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of town but if it’s peace and quiet you want it’s worth the location.
Lovely place, very quiet and very friendly staff. The room was a perfect temperature and the bed extremely comfortable. Slept very well here despite the sudden adjustment to such a high altitude. Recommended quiet acclimatisation place to stay!
