The old towels were still in one of the rooms and the bins were not emptied. It was way too hot in the night.

Only downside: Walls are a bit thin. Some other guests (bigger group) were a bit loud when they came in late at night.

Probably one of the coziest places on earth. great kitchen, super friendly staff. I felt very at home in the place. Same for the café downstairs. The view on the mountain is also beautiful!

Pleasent 'house' with many rooms all occupied. Shared bathroom was big and well supplied with everything needed Large and well stocked kitchen with storage for own supplies. Lack of ventilation and airflow in a small room. I don't recommend sleeping in this room because it's very stuffy and we couldn't sleep.

A very nice place, but the room we got did not have a window. I didn't see any information about it in the description and in the photos it looks like there is a window. Fortunately, after reporting the problem, the nice owner changed our room to an apartment without an additional fee. The apartment was brilliant! Spacious, clean, with a kitchenette, well-decorated. I honestly recommend even paying extra than staying in this small room without a window

In the bedroom wasn´t as expected the window, but there was no chance to ventilate, so we had to turn on the air conditioning.

The town itself didn’t have much to offer (in Winter) but lots of pretty places a 1hr drive away.

The guesthouse was spectacular. We stayed in the main house, and it was like staying at your grandmother's house - very clean and super-cosy. We felt at home immediately. The Christmas decorations and lights were so beautiful. I have never felt so rested after a stay. We ate locally, and there were some nice places to choose from. If you don't want to eat out, there is a fully equipped kitchen that you can use. The cafe and shop downstairs was just as cosy and welcoming. Blomsetrið has some more choices of accommodation beside the cafe, and they were really beautiful. I will definitely be back!

Keep in mind that there is only one bathroom for 5 rooms. Not a problem for us, because when we were there there were 5 guests total. Two of the bedrooms are without windows - look carefully when booking, if it is important for you.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, nice kitchen and big bathroom. Easy to park. The hosts are very friendly. The other guests were very nice and we had great time around the table.

I cannot think of anything to dislike. We enjoyed out stay there and met some folks from other parts of the world. We also met a nice woman who is friends of the owner(s) and encouraged us to visit her in the northern part of Iceland. We would definitely stay here again!

Communication was very good and we found the place without much of a problem even though a road was torn up and using the map on my phone took us right through the construction. Still, we enjoyed the little cafe, great service, friendly people and comfortable accommodations. Sunsets were pretty and not too far of a drive from Hvammsvik Hot Springs.

The kitchen was a little small considering we had 5 guests in the family room and three rooms full with couples meaning there were 11 people having to share a very small kitchen.

You really are in someone’s home in a very comfortable and welcoming environment that is very well equipped in the kitchen.
