This home was out on farm land so extremely quite. Perfect place to see the northern lights! For us dog lovers they have a couple friendly dogs that we enjoyed very much!

We stayed 2 nights. It is a little tight for 4 adults, 2 couples. The bedroom with the double bed is very tight with no room for luggage or bedside shelf for phone, etc. We had to use the living area for our luggage. We would suggest some additional hooks (substantial ones) for hanging wet coats, and outer layers. And maybe a small wall shelf on each side of the double bed.

The location was private and peaceful. It was close to Hofn and to the glacier lagoon and lake activities. The cabin was well equipped and clean. The hot tub was clean and very warm and enjoyed by our group.

During our vacation at Birkifell guesthouse, booked through Booking.com, we found ourselves completely detached from the demands of everyday life. From the moment we arrived, the host extended a warm welcome, and his kind demeanor immediately made us feel at home. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort and answered any questions we had about the area, making us feel like valued guests. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the stunning scenery that greeted us. The views from the guesthouse were nothing short of breathtaking. We were surrounded by the beauty of Iceland's vast plains, with the rugged coastline along the ocean stretching as far as the eye could see. The tranquility of the place was a welcome escape from the routine and stresses of our daily lives. What made this stay even more remarkable was the incredible stroke of luck we had. It was the first night of our vacation when we were treated to a magnificent display of the Northern Lights. Dancing across the night sky in vibrant hues of green and purple, it was a spectacle that left us in awe of the natural wonders of Iceland. To top it off, we were also lucky enough to spot some of Iceland's famous reindeer in their natural habitat, adding an extra layer of enchantment to our vacation.

Double bed room small, hard to get in an out but not much of an issue, very comfortable nonetheless

One of the bedrooms was small, and the bed occupied nearly the entire room. but this wasn't really a problem for us. We just had to get on the bed from the foot of the bed and that was all.

The house was very clean and quiet and just like the photo posted. The owner was very friendly and met us to explain everything necessary about the house, including how to use the hot tub. The kitchen and bathroom was perfect for our one night stay on the ring road. There were beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and you could even see a glacier from the property.

We wished the shower in the restroom was bigger.

The cabin was secluded and in the midst of mountains and vast farm land. It had a great vibe. The hosts were very accommodating and nice.

The only thing would be the size of the hot-tub - It doesn't fit 4 medium sized males very well, but that also wasn't our expectation when booking the house! I really enjoyed everything about the guest house.

The location was fantastic - located on the porch of a medium sized mountain. The first time you get to the house it's a bit confusing, but after the first time you remember, and it feels almost obvious. The host was extraordinarily gracious(and funny) the two times we met: on check-in and on check-out. On our check-in, he handed us the keys directly - but there was also an easy to use lock-box. I couldn't have been happier about the time I spent at Birkifell!

The second bedroom was VERY small. Too small to get a suitcase in with you so our case had to remain in the lounge. This accommodation would be great for a family of two adults and two young children.

The hot tub was lovely after a long day of driving and the cooking facilities were great.
