The room and the hotel itself is so cozy and cute. The restaurant was very very good as well. The spa is worth the 2,000 ISK in my opinion - it was super clean and great way to relax from a long day of driving.

The only complaint I have is that there were no eggs for breakfast. I did ask about it and then they hadn't received eggs that morning, and were really sorry about it. I guess there is no store in Egilsstaðir that is open early enough that they could have sorted it, so it really wasn't their fault. It did spoil my breakfast experience though.

We reached this hotel in the evening, after hours on road it was our safe and comfortable place. Thanks a lot to reception guy (we forgot to ask the name), he was really nice and gave us some advises about visiting places around, also shout out to Austėja, thanks for recomendations, we saved a lot of time during next day trip to Reykavik. One more thing to mention, this hotel will stay in my memory for the all life, as the first Nothern light was captured here! Breakfast was perfect! Best regards from griup of lithuanians! 💚

There were a lot of lights outside, so we needed to drive from the hotel to watch aurora.

Booked two rooms for my family whilst travelling and driving the ring road clockwise. Good location, good staff service, especially Max who advised on local attractions etc.. Good breakfast. Large car park, easy to get to. would. stay again

The location is good. We were feeling warm while the staff recommended the safe driving speed would be 70s km/hr depending on the road condition.

The view from the room was spectacular! The food was amazing! Staff was very accommodating and kind. On top of everything we witnessed a beautiful show of the northern lights!

The Spa is only available at an extra charge, it would be nice to include this in the room rate. There was no mini bar. The portion size of the starters was completely out of proportion. A smoked beetroot starter was just a few teaspoons (more like a pre starter) where as beef carpaccio was a full plate of food (like a main course) . My lamb main had a nice flavour but was unfortunatly not cooked fresh (reheated). This did not distract from the fact the meal was still good, but its the little things that make it great!

The staff on the front desk and in the restaurant were friendly and proffessional, our room was a good size with a comfortable bed. The public spaces were all clean and well kept, including the lounge and spa. The location is great for exploring the lakes area and visiting Stodhvarfjordurhe the local port. The restaurant served some good well cooked food with attentive service in a pleasant dinning room that also doubles up as a breakfast room. This hotel offered excellent value for money and I would highly recommend a stay here.

the dining area is a big open space which was very cold, which is the last thing you want in Iceland in the winter! other than that the property is absolutely lovely

traditional feel hotel in a rural setting- great for spotting the northern lights! the staff were absolutely lovely, they even left breakfast out for us to take with us since we left so early in the morning which was amazing.

The Spa Area is not for free - you have to pay for it. We were very disappointed as there was only one sauna and one pool with pretty dirty water! If it's for free it would be OK but if you have to pay an extra amount for this it is not worth it!
