A little bit off the beaten path, but not a too much of a distance to the Ring Road (Route 1).

A little out of the way, but exactly what we needed in the moment! Clean, comfortable, and the dinner was excellent! Kudos to the Chef! My family and I would stay here again!

Very friendly staff in this family hotel. The food was very good and the breakfast was very good. The room and shower were very clean. Yes its a little outdated, but what do you expect in de middle of nowwhere of Iceland? Everyone the hotel does it best to gibe you a great time over there.

I would suggest building a stone footpath from the back of the main building to the chalet. It would be easier in the rainy season. Luckily, we decided to carry only the smaller luggage and left the larger one in the Volkswagen caravelle.

We had 2 chalets and 1 building room for 6 of us. I and my husband chose to stay in the chalet. We had a wonderful experience in a tiny chalet. There was also a kitchen and complete kitchenware. The receptionist or may be the owner was so kind to carry my luggage across the wet lawn since it was raining when we arrived. We had banana, oranges, apples and typical continental breakfast which made us full before leaving. If there are choices to choose, I would suggest the chalets since there will be more chance to see the northern light through the glass windows around the chalet.

Update to the showers. The hot water ran out.

Staff!!! Three ppl accommodated a tour bus full and a few car full of ppl who got stranded in a winter storm. The front desk attendant handled everything smoothly and efficiently. They worked well into the night to get everything settled. Good breakfast. The surroundings are picturesque, with a feeling of being out in nowhere. Beautiful antique-esque wood floors in the hotel.

The only negative is they do charge a fee for the hot tub of 1000ikr a person, but other than that it was lovely!

The breakfast is the standout here! Amazing selection and service! The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in one of the chalets in the back and it was nicely isolated and comfortable. It has a full bathroom and kitchenette. The hotel is very much in the middle of nowhere which we loved! Nice and quiet

Couldn't really fault anything

Our little chalet was so damned cute, we loved it. We stayed in larger/ newer chalets on this trip, but this little one was especially cute inside and we loved it more. We were the only guests taking breakfast due to it being mid winter, and the lady that made it went to so much trouble to make us a beautiful spread. There was so much food, it was greatly appreciated. She even made us some bacon and eggs which I don't think was normally on offer. We also had a drink with Eric (the manager) the night before and he was great to chat to. Really enjoyed this stay, even though the building looks a little plain on the outside, don't be put off.

Very good local hotel and was greater with the information that we were the only guests staying in the hotel that night, but breakfast will be served in the dining area, and what time would you like breakfast? lol. 1st impressions with the hotel owner were great, and we chatted for a while on where we had been and going to, and he gave us great tips of places to see. Overall, the room size was great, and the breakfast was very good. It was a full continental/local breakfast and was for just the 2 of us. Great place to stay when travelling in the iceland ring road.

We had to sleep with A/C on due to heating was provided primarily by the A/C and it was very noisy.

The location was very good, just off of Highway 1. My major criticism was the fact that the bathroom was on the first floor and our room was on the second floor. The breakfast was adequate but not great. It was a good place to stay for our purposes.
