Beautiful guesthouse with nice rooms, kitchen and clean bathroom

We absolutely loved our stay here. The owners are such lovely people who not only care about the guesthouse but make a huge effort with the guests. They have gone above and beyond to make this guesthouse comfortable and homey from the decorations, the washer and dryer, the outdoor deck to enjoy a meal on and even the beer/wine available at such a reasonable price!! We loved that we could pat the animals (horses, goat, sheep and their beautiful dog). We especially fell in love with the horses and the beautiful dog Rema. Super close to the Vok baths which we loved and close to lots of other things like the puffins, canyons and waterfalls. Highly recommend staying here if you are heading anywhere near Egilsstadir or Mývatn.

Everything was amazing!

Expectional value for money - fantastic location (some nice walking and hiking paths), possibility of doing your laundry, well stocked and new kitchen. The breakfast (2000 ISK per person) was delicious and well worth it. We actually happened to be the only ones there that night so the owner upgraded us to a larger room which was so nice of her. You can also buy hand-knitten lopapeysas, hats etc on the spot.

Elisa was so beautiful and friendly. Do a favour to yourself and say yes to the dinner and breakfast option!! Elisa is an amazing cook and very well priced. You won't regret it! This was our favourite stay for our honeymoon trip to iceland for sure!

It was all fairly clean. There are four rooms and one kitchen and two bathrooms so you have to take that into consideration. we waited a bit to use the kitchen. Its a hostel really. And we knew that going in. We used the washer and dryer, which came in very handy.

Very easy check-in and check-out process. The guesthouse has a kitchen and two bathrooms. And the nature surrounding the house was really incredible. I really enjoyed my stay here!

One of the amazing places we stayed in Iceland. We met the host upon arrival and as soon as she noticed my tall boyfriend she immediately upgraded our room to a bigger one eventhough the one assigned to us was good enough. Also, the place is so clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are so clean and big enough with laundry facilities. In terms of location, its a very beautiful remote place away from the main road and you do need your own transportation to get here. Overall it was a great experience staying here and a great place to see the northern light eventhough we weren’t lucky with that.

What a lovely guesthouse! We had a great stay here. Rooms are not big but the place has everything you need. Two bathrooms for four rooms, each with shower and toilet. There is a brand new, super nice kitchen to cook, and even a washing machine and dryer waiting for the guests. The host Elísa is super caring and prepares an amazing breakfast and super tasty dinner. And we could visit the lovely animals at her farm. <3

Really friendly and kind people! A super cute guesthouse, perfect for making dinner with your travel group and enjoying the lonely nature. The next supermarket is 30 km away, keep that in mind while booking. The breakfast they are offering is amazing and totally worth the price.

No complaints at all.

Litlabjarg Guesthouse has been the most lovely stop off on our journey around Iceland - the house itself is tidy, clean and very cosy. The scenery outside is beautiful and we were very excited to open the curtains in the morning and find horses right opposite us. The two bathrooms and the kitchen are spotlessly clean and everything has been thought of and provided, including laundry facilities. Our room was enormous and we had an excellent nights sleep in comfy beds with absolutely no noise to be heard outside. To top it off, this has been the best value accommodation we have had so far. We would definitely come again and would highly recommend Litlabjarg to everybody. Georgie and Mike xx

Wonderful location. Charming hostess. VERY comfortable beds. When the owner asks if you want breakfast (2,000 isk), just say yes and treat yourself. You won't need to eat for the rest of the day.

If you plan visit north Iceland it is a perfect place to stay. You will have either more touristic and hidden attractions in the vicinity. The staff is super friendly :-)

We apparently flipped a breaker trying to both wash and dry clothes at the same time. It took quite a while to get someone to repair, but once they did, it was all good.

Beautiful remote location. The accommodations were nice and fully met our needs. Had the weather been slightly warmer it would have been wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the view.

Our room was very dark (lamp wasn’t working and the main light fixture bulb seemed like it might possibly be a low wattage). Bedding linens seemed a little “tired”.

Very quiet, and very friendly staff! Also flexible with our arrival! Kitchen facilities were great, and access to laundry was such a great bonus!! We were made to feel completely at home!

Excellent place to stay. Our favourite after ten or so nights in other places as we travelled the entire country. Fab location. It felt very homely and our host was very lovely. Breakfast was a bonus and wonderful quality. Quiet and night with comfy beds. Defo book this if you can!!!

The hot water system needs a bit of work. When two showers are going at the same time they were fighting for pressure and hot water.
