Sleep&go. Clean rooms, free access kitchen, WiFi all what modern human need. Helpful staff. That was my 2nd time and for sure I will be back there with more friends.

This is only a small point but I didnt like the lack of locks on the showers ( a shared facility) and I prefer seperate sex toilets. These were available round near reception but I imagine when the accommodation is full this is busy. Also when we arrived we need to call to get a key code for the door however we did not have telephones able to make international calls (only whats app calls). This was eventually resolved but worth a mention. Everything else was perfect.

This was a real case of 'dont judge a book by its cover'. The outside of the building, above shops, looked less inviting than when we got inside. Inside it was just 'wow' with clean open spaces for sitting and preparing food. The kitchen had everything you needed with fridges for your food and as much tableware necessary for large numbers of people. There was a dishwaher and washing machines (chargeable). The bedrooms were clean and also sound proof for a good nights sleep. Everywhere was very clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are very clean on the verge of beeing sterile like an operating room in a hospital. Few pictures with happy fisherman or the sightseeing spots in the area could warm up the mood a bit. But this is my personal taste. Purists and Scandinavian style lovers will love it.

Kikjufell is close and on the road there is a high elevation parking spot where really easy to spot whales with binoculars. gas station and fish and chips little street food vendor is next door. And it has a sandy beach behind the wave breaker rocks.

Cooking only possible until just after 9pm then the cooker is turned off so if you get back late that might be a problem.

Everything very clean and good kitchen facilities with free coffee in the morning. Comfortable dorm bed. Delicious fish and chips just opposite the hostel.

As with many accommodations in Iceland - the double bed is actually two single beds pushed together.

Lovely room with shared bathrooms and a large communal lounge/dining/kitchen area. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with a small table and chairs. The toilets and showers are separated by gender, and there are plenty for the number of guests. They were immaculately clean. The communal area is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, crockery etc. Bonus: the guesthouse is right next to a small beach - perfect for a cold water dip!

I wished our room had a fridge so we didn’t have to go outside and up to the kitchen to get milk for our baby.

They tell you that you can do laundry until 8. Then the electricity is turned off for the night. But there is laundry that they are washing until then. In the morning, they are already using the washer and dryer from the units they are cleaning., When you get back to your room after 3p.m., the owner is still washing the sheets from prior guests. So essentially, there are no facilities unless you make somewhat of a stink about it. Which I did. But still felt like I was inconveniencing them.

We liked our room very much, nice to have a small sink in the room. The kitchen is really nice, took a while to understand how to turn things on. We stayed here two nights, gps takes you to the grocery store, not to the address listed. Lol, And grocery store closes by 6, no other market. Purchased food in the town prior to coming back the next day.

There is only one small cooker in the kitchen. With four or five families cooking before the 21:30 switch off, that’s a problem.

Nice view of the sea from the kitchen window. Very very clean. We slept well.
