“Manuela is the most accommodating proprietress. She made sure we were comfortable and even set up our breakfast on the beautiful terrace on the day the weather warmed up. The view is really bella! She gave us recommendations for a couple of very good nearby restaurants and told us about Piazza Armerina, an 8th century Roman villa with a plethora of well preserved mosaics. Manuela even lent us a book about it that was in English. The place is immaculate. There is a drying rack on the balcony that was useful as we'd been traveling for weeks and needed to wash out a few things. While Valguarnera Caropepe is a little off the beaten track, it is beautiful and there are interesting sites to see within driving distance. It was great to be away from the touristy areas of Sicily and to interact with locals too! Highly recommend!”
