The check-in process could have been smoother (but this was made harder but us not having cell service to contact the property manager when we arrived for check-in). The parking near the B&B can be a little bit hit-or-miss; we had difficulty parking near the B&B on a Saturday night (there is lots of nightlife nearby which meant more cars parked on the side streets), but we easily found street parking 1 block away from the hostel on Sunday afternoon.

Rob was a fantastic host who gave us awesome recommendations for what to do and where to eat not only in Catania but all over the east coast of Sicily. The location is amazing (1 block from the castle and a 10-15 minute walk from almost everything else in downtown Catania). The breakfast was fantastic. It should be noted that the shared bathrooms were not an issue at all while we stayed at the B&B; that is, we were always able to access the bathroom/shower whenever we needed it.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Rob and Cristina's place. They were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. They even gave us a bigger room because it was available :) We will definitely plan to stay here again and tell the same to our friends visiting Catania. Thank you Rob and Cristina!

Rob was an amazing host and gave us so many great tips and recommendations for Catania. Follow his advices where to eat and what to do there ;-) I highly recommend to visit "Etna volcano" as well. We had a car rental and it is also possible to take a bus. Breakfast was lovely and also a great place to get in contact with other guests and travellers. A very nice, cosy place to stay, just go with the flow! Rob, you are the best, was a real pleasure to meet you!

The mattress they should be better.

The kindness of Cristina and Rob are exceptional, always attentive to our arrival giving the best instructions to get there from the airport. The beautiful super vintage house, clean and cozy. It is very well located 5 minutes from the old town. The super delicious breakfast did not lack anything and they were always accommodating with what we wanted to eat. I recommend them 100%. We can only say thank you for such a welcoming stay.

We had great time at B&B 5 Balconi. Feeling like at home. The hotel is very well situated in city center at walking distance from Fish Market and main restaurants. Owners are very kind and helpful. The tips they gave us for restaurant and nearby attractions where very pleasant. We loved the restaurants that were recommended. The hotel is also charming in a vintage style, very well kept and clean. We loved it.

The place has been really incredible, the room was so spacious with high ceilings, you felt like you are in a movie. Really superb location, a few minutes walk to the main Fish Market. We also had a car so the free parking all along the street was really useful. Breakfast was included and was superb with a really great selection, would 100% stay again :)
