Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandGood quality but limited quantity of breakfast ingredients. During a longer stay, you will probably have to have some of your own products for breakfast to fill up. Not a traditional breakfast included.
Beautifully placed with view over Tuscan Hills and Montalcino. Small place resulting in peace and quiet Great host Good quality eggs, joghurt and some other products to make yourself breakfast with.

AustraliaIf steps are a problem, remember to ask for the ground floor.
A wonderfully peaceful place surrounded by the beauty of the Tuscan countryside. The apartment is in a separate building on top of a hill within the farm boundary. It was well equipped with all we needed to cook if we wished, with a full size fridge, and there were eating places not far away. Just a few minutes' drive to Torrenieri, Bienconvento (both of these have Coop supermarkets) or Montalcino. We made day trips to many of the places in the Val D'Orcia, most of them less than an hour. It is under two hours from Florence, where we picked up our rental car and there is plenty of parking. Mara is the most wonderful host, attending promptly to any needs and supplying us with her homemade jams, biscuits, juices and yoghurt. We were able to order a meal cooked by her on one night. She was able to direct us to things to visit, including a wine tasting run by her husband, Marko. The highlight was watching the sunset every evening over the hills.

New ZealandThe apartment is dark inside. The mosquitos, so bring insect repellent for sitting out in the garden at dusk.
Mara is an excellent hostess. Her love of the family business is obvious starting with checking in, explaining how things work and making sure you have everything you need. An informative binder is available with a map and day trip recommendations. The accommodation is on a hill about 700m on gravel road. The apartment is spacious, and the views and outdoor shade and seating are comfortable. Inside the apartment is tastefully furnished and well equipped for self-catering. Mara provides homemade baking, juices, and yogurt along with eggs, coffee, tea, and a range of breads and cookies. There is also a washing machine. Highly recommended

United KingdomThe property was without doubt one of the best I’ve ever stayed in, the location was incredible. WiFi (which is important now) was no issue. Mara was also the best host you could ask for, the perfect example of hospitality, she was generous in giving little gifts and treats, honestly if someone told me they’d had a better host then her I’d say they are lying

We spent 13 days in Italy and our 3 nights at Agriturismo Collesassi was by far our favorite! Mara could not have been a better host and she was beyond gracious and made us feel right at home. She cooked two wonderful and delicious dinners for us during our stay and provided fresh eggs, yogurt, fresh juice, coffee for breakfast, we can’t say enough about our wonderful stay. The views of the Montalcino countryside from our apartment were unbelievably beautiful. A sincere thank you to Mara for her kindness and generosity.

SwitzerlandIt is important to read all the information related to payments and additional costs for the cold months and be prepared with some cash to pay for the extras at check-out. Tap water didn't taste good and we preferred to buy some mineral water instead.
Agriturismo Collesassi is on the top of a hill with amazing views and the facilities are excellent and very comfortable. We loved the breakfast and all the homemade products. And by request, they also prepared and offered some gluten-free products for breakfast. Totally recommend it.

We drove up to the hilltop property per given directions. We got there around sunset. First impression was Wow… What a pretty view and scenery! The peace & tranquility..! Mara, the host drove up later after we contacted. Warmly welcomed and showed us around. Spoilt us with carefully thought-out/prepared breakfast goodies in baskets (bread, jams, biscuits, pizza, tea & coffee) and fridges (eggs, milk, fruit juice). Some of the biscuits and fruit juice were home-made. What an impressive personal touch Mara! On the 3rd day – she asked if we needed more bread or cookies… We haven’t even finished them…. She even drew up a map – telling us where to visit and to have dinner. We were disappointed we couldn’t taste Mara’s cooking as the tiny restaurant (within the building) was closed in winter. We went with the hope that we could get a lesson from Mara how to make/cook Italian pasta dishes. Read that Mara is a great cook. The property sits on top of a private hill surrounded by grape, olive vineyards and wheat field. Mara, Marco (hubby) & family live at the bottom. There are 3 apartments. We occupied 2 (ground & top floor) – the other big one (top floor) was empty during our stay. So lucky to have the entire building, surrounding and all the tranquility to savour, exclusively. Mara afforded all the privacy, communicated through whatsapp. It’s a renovated old farm house – with all the exterior facades mandatorily preserved. The interior reminded us to the castle rooms we visited earlier. Bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and lounge/dining area are equipped with all the necessary modern contents and conveniences. The creaking floor noises here & there complemented the farmhouse nuance and experience. As an early riser, I had a free & peaceful morning roam of the whole hill ALL to myself. Not a single other soul around to compromise with.

AustraliaBreakfast disappointed. (We’d only stayed in one agriturismo before, which had set our breakfast expectations high.) At Agriturismo Collesassi breakfast involved quite a few longlife supplies. No fresh bread, milk or fruit, and no savoury options. Despite this quibble, I rate our stay a 10!
The peace, the green surrounds, the ability to eat outdoors, the temptation to just stay put and not race around, the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts.

NetherlandsThe location of the agriturismo is perfect - it's a bit secluded, but you can easily reach Val d'Orcia, Montalcino, Pienza, etc. by car in 15-30 mins and the view from the place is just breathtaking The owner Mara was super helpful and she really thought about everything - even toys and high chair for our baby. This is not something you often see, so we really appreciated it, thank you Mara! :) We had the chance to try her homemade cookies too, hope next time we can also taste her cooking (unfortunately we went in a period when cooked breakfast and dinner are not offered, which we were looking forward to but didn't read the booking details...)

GermanyExcellent facility and location in the heart of Tuscany. A 35 minute drive takes you to the parking lot in the heart of Siena. Plenty of small medieval towns around to visit. Also lot of options in 5-10 minute driving distance to enjoy the Tuscan cuisine. Mara was an excellent host, giving helpful advice on places to eat and find good wine. She is also an awesome cook and prepares dinner for the guests on request. Don't miss out on this. Especially the traditional Tuscan Crostini, Vegetable Lasagne, Sesame pork steaks and Caffe Crema.
