Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThis is the only place we stayed where I have observations (a bit negative). If this is rated a 3 star hotel, and I think it is, maybe it should be rated 2. Someone should check out the shower panels in our room (312?), one of which was all cracked in an area about 4 inches by 7 inches. Seriously someone needs to replace that! Also, whoever put in the door molding around the door as you exit the bathroom missed about 3 inches of molding - it’s just missing. The bathroom provides zero room to put one’s toiletries, they have to be left in the room itself. The hotel gives you little packets of shampoo/body wash similar to a ketchup packet. We didn’t care, didn’t want them anyway. The housekeeping team kept it all clean, cheers to them! The reception men were great, good advice, friendly. But the blonde woman needs a lesson in how to handle a problem with more grace. These 2 problems did not involve us, but we observed them. Last morning, a quite large group of people had apparently asked for breakfast bags-to-go, which they had in their hands. But they also wanted to eat at the breakfast buffet. Stupid, really ! She correctly said, no you can’t do that but they were all grumbling. It was her manner in telling them. If she had said she would love to accommodate that but sadly she could not, it would have been much better. Instead, she basically said, scram! Another example escapes me but same thing. She needs to practice a more genial demeanor.

United KingdomBreakfast was quite basic, scrambled eggs and bacon were available on request but were cold and not very appetising. There was a kettle and tea bags in the room but bizzarly the plug on the kettle did not fit any of the sockets in the room!
Fabulous location right near the Duomo, 10 minutes walk to the Uffizi and Ponto Vecchio. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable.

United StatesGeneral Room update and Elevator update would be a plus. The room had A/C but it was ancient and needed updating. Thank heavens the kind man at the front desk allocated an oscillating fan to us, which dispersed the meager A/C delivered to us. AC renewal in our room is a must.
Classic Italian Hotel. Walk to Train Station was 15-20 minutes, Ufizzi-20 Min and the cathedral was a few blocks. Plenty of restaurant choices, close by from Florentine Steak to Spaghetti. Breakfast was vast, but we missed the information on hot eggs and meats but we were okay with the other items. Front desk was helpful answering some questions via booking.com email. We would stay again.
