Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe breakfast was fantastic, but the restaurant/lounge was terrible. The food was bland, gluten-free options were scant, the service was slow and we often had to remind them 2-3 times to bring things we ordered. On top of that the food was wildly overpriced. We only ate there because the hotel is in a suburban area with few dining options. Be aware that the location of this hotel is quite inconvenient if you're hoping to see all the famous sites in Rome. Taxi fare to the city core is slow, and expensive because the traffic is awful. There isn't much to see/do in the area of the hotel but the hotel itself is lovely and relaxing.
The room was spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Overall this is a large, beautiful hotel with good spa facilities. The staff were helpful and friendly.

United Kingdom- nothing really! Would love a bit of entertainment in the evenings but apart from that it was great
- Helpful, friendly staff - Pool area is beautiful with lots of loungers and a nice snack bar - Room size was good we even had a walk in wardrobe which was a lovely surprise - Large amount of choice at breakfast, we couldn’t have asked for me - Nice get away from the busyness of the city centre but not too far away (15 mins in shuttle or Uber) - Vouchers if you opt out of getting your room cleaned - 15 euros per room per day - complimentary mini bar with some lovely snacks in

United KingdomHonestly the only thing i can mention is the cost of alcohol, which was a tad on the expensive side, and they seemed to be differently priced each evening.
The hotel was beautiful, very clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast which was included was delicious, a massive variety for all tastes! We ate enough in the morning to fill us up until dinner time! The evening meal for €40 was all you could eat and again the variety was immense! So many delicious dishes to choose from, well worth the money. The pool was lovely, and sun beds were readily available up until 10:30am, after which they were mostly taken.

United StatesHad a 'very' difficult time obtaining taxi and uber rides. Most cancelled or were 20-30 minutes away. Even the hotel called taxis on our behalf and still never they didn't show up.
Impressive hotel. Felt upscale but also inclusive and comfortable for families.

United KingdomI know you don’t go on holiday to watch tv but with a child and going for two weeks it’s nice to chill and watch some telly at the end of the day . I asked 3 times for someone to look at the tvs as the English Channel was not working . My daughters remote didn’t work . This was not looked into as promised . Poor show considering the amount of money that was spent . The buffet restaurant seemed to serve warm food rather than hot . Is this an Italian thing ? Also was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so had to use the other restaurant which didn’t have that great a choice .
Breakfast was great . Lots of options

IrelandLoved everything about the hotel. The only let down was when we were waiting for our shuttle to airport we decided to have food in the hotel restaurant we choose inside seating (big mistake) there were only 4 tables occupied and yet the waiter was extremely incompetent, we ordered from him he then came back 10mins later to see were we ready to order (it wasn't even busy it was actually really quiet) 35mins later my boyfriend was served the wrong dish and told it was what he ordered(it wasn't) he ate it anyway because we were waiting so long. The waiter then came out with food for the table that ordered 15mins after us. One of which was what I ordered, I told the waiter that he had given my order to them and that we had ordered before them and have a shuttle to catch. He ignored me and told me the kitchen was broken. He obviously messed up our order and blamed the kitchen.(I would hate to see him working on a busy day/night) With it being 45mins after we ordered and my boyfriend finished his food and our shuttle due in 5mins we got up to pay & leave. We were called back & told we had to pay for the water which we didn't even drink after all that, with not even an apology. very disappointing end to what was a lovely stay
Fabulous hotel, very quiet & relaxing even the pool even with families there. Spa was also lovely €20pp and led you out onto pool. Buffet breakfast was perfect all kinds of breakfasts available (Fab lavazza coffee, Fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, beans,). Hotel city tax it 6euro per person per night. 200eur is put on hold for shuttle and any extras, you are reimbursed at end of stay. it was 20-25 mins from city centre. Pam local grocery store is 5mins walk from hotel and icecream. Hotel offers shuttle service on request which goes to & from airport €15 & also to and from Piazza de san Marco (beside roundabout down from colosseum) also to & from back entrance to the Vatican, which is only €5 per person one way. City shuttle times are displayed on right of reception. Be careful not to miss shuttle at Piazza de san marco he does park anywhere along the entrance to the church on that corner it will say A.Roma on shuttle. You get a 15euro coupon at reception for each day you dont get your room cleaned. we got buffet dinner on last night 35euro each includes all you can eat & a bottle of wine for the table

GermanyThe door of the room was slightly defective and needing an upgrade for sound insulation, unexpected amount of money on hold on my card (13 euro on top of the regular 200 of deposit).
Very good quality of food for breakfast, nice atmosphere in the pool area but barely big enough for the number of guests
