Our room had an air conditioner but it did not seem to work during our stay. The bike storage did not feel secure.

Modern quiet room up a flight of stairs in an old building. Breakfast was delicious. The owners were friendly.

The B&B was nestled in the centre of Lucca. The room was immaculate and the bed so comfy. We stayed one night and the following morning a beautiful buffet breakfast made for us by the host.We would highly recommend to stay there but if you are going by car made sure you don't enter the city walls and park a short distance away in the main carpark.

Central location in Lucca , in old part of town inside City walls.Easy access to everything. Room was spotlessly clean with lots of brightness. Great shower and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent a real treat of homemade food from Francesca and Luigi who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at ease. And son Lorenzo was always available if needed. A very relaxing stay .

Absolutely nothing

Luigi and Francesca are the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Luigi met us very promptly on arrival and showed us around. The location was perfect, five minutes from the walls which encircle the old city. The road Via Fillungo is very vibrant and atmospheric and is very close to great bars and restaurants. Luigi very kindly returned later in the day for us to collect our bags as we had an afternoon train to catch on our departure day. The breakfast was excellent. Great coffee and savoury choices as well as wonderful home made cake. Grazie mille per un bellissimo soggiorno Luigi and Francesca

I strongly recommend B&B Antico Cancelo if you are in Lucca The host Luigi and Francesca are amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience The quality of the B&B is amazing, spacious room, super clean, renovated bathroom and a really nice breakfast It is in the hearth of Lucca , steps away from all the nice restaurants and shops near Piazza Anfitiatro We will definitely be back there the next time we are in Lucca

The room was comfortable, stylish and sparklingly clean in a great location. Francesca and Luigi were great hosts and made us excellent breakfasts every morning. Lorenzo, gave us some very good restaurant recommendations. Value for money, this is the best place to stay in Lucca!

Location is excellent, with good public parking just around the corner (expect to pay €18/day), making it super convenient for exploring the city center. Arrival was easy, room was large and spotless, breakfast was nice though typical Italian (carb heavy). Definitely recommend the space for a short stay.

Everything was great!!!! Spacious & clean room, within the historic center of Lucca, close to all the main attractions, the trattorias & gelatterias!!! The breakfast was very good and the staff was super helpful. They provided plenty information with places to visit and where to eat. Thank you very much for the great stay!

Everything was fantastic! No complaints & highly recommend this accomodation for a stay in Lucca.

Location was great. Size of room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the personalised service from Luigi & Francesca. This B&B consists of just 2 rooms so we were well looked after particularly at breakfast. Bed was comfortable along with the pillows.
