How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Lovely b&b with an amazing host. The host goes beyond expectation to make you stay really memorable. He waited for us almost all afternoon to gave the key, because we had a delay from the original time we told him to be there. Then he gave us the instructions, where to park our car and every information about what to visit and the restaurants and the local food to try. Central location. The breakfast was delicious and rich. We even had an expresso to make coffee and cappuccino. The fridge was filled with drinks, and some food and in the morning Gabriele brought us fresh pasticciotto (a local pastry) which was super good. Thank you Gabriele, it was really a pleasure to stay at your b&b.

Host Gabriele was fantastic - really helpful and gave us some good tips on where to eat. Breakfast was lovely and lots of it - he made a great effort with fresh cake and mortadello. Location was very central and also very quiet

Shower was a little difficult to operate at first.
Excellent location in the centre of the city, very quiet. Large rooms, with a careful touch of design. Very helpful host (in terms of check-in/check-out, and also giving us tips about where to go, what to eat and where).

Nothing - it was all great
Great location in beautiful centro storico. Large, pretty room and sitting room. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Gabriele was wonderful - gave us a great restaurant recommendation, food recommendations, and information about the town. Highly recommend!

The property was amazing as was the host. Gabriele was very informative and such a lovely man. Always with a smile. Great rooms, the roof terrace was very special with lovely views and the hot tub was a bonus. Would definitely return

We didnt know how to heat up the jacuzzi on the roof, but maybe thats just us :)
Great location, at the heart of Lecce old town. Beautiful surroundings and cute apartment. Very kind host, who explained us all regarding what to see and what to do. He also helped us with parking

The host Gabriele was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we felt welcome and had all the important information of Lecce. Great breakfast with some delicious Pasticciotos. Amazing location.

The location was fantastic, Gabrielle our host went out of his way all the time to make our stay comfortable. His knowledge of local restaurants for authentic food at local prices was exceptional. Gabrielle surprised us each morni g with a different typical pastry of the local area.

Preface that the accommodation is excellent value for money so criticism is very small. Wi-if was slow, AC in room was effective but made intermittent buzzing unless on turbo mode which is loud. The pedestrian street outside is under construction meaning you need to walk on planks, it causes no problem but something to mention.
Firstly Gabriele was a fabulous host providing lots of guidance and advice and made us feel most welcome. The location is excellent, the facilities good, the room clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. Lovely breakfast provided with Gabriele making fresh coffee.

Great location. Breakfast was set up in our room so we could eat when we wanted to. Great roof top terrace. Host was very helpful in suggesting things to see and where to eat. Great stay.

Can't think of anything. Only that may be an issue is for someone with a physical disability or families with little children and trollies might be a bit inconvenient as there are stairs to climb up a floor to the apt.
A beautiful renovated house in a quiet lane in the middle of the old city of Lecce, several minutes walk from all the highlights. Lovely roof terrace. The breakfast was wonderful. The host is very helpful and friendly with lots of good tips for travelling in Lecce and around. I highly recommend this accomodation
