How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was great.
Our stay was picture-perfect from start to finish 😍 stay here if you can! We had such a beautiful apartment with an amazing terrace in a really historic palazzo. The rooms were super modern, the location brilliant & everything was really clean! We‘ll be back! Thanks to the two ladies managing everything & giving their very best to make our stay unforgettable!

The only thing that I could fault it on there wasn’t enough wine glasses for the group so really no fault at all
Location was perfect. It could not have been more central. Rooms were a good size for a group. Staff were very helpful

Spent a wonderful weekend at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and always available to help. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was simply fantastic! All of the city's historical landmarks were within walking distance. Would definitely come back for a similar experience in the future. Highly recommend!

a bit noisy at night from the bars on the street. I know there was an event called "Wine Italy " that lasted three days, and maybe this is the reason. However, to be honest it didn't bother too much.
we liked the location as was very central to Verona. the apartment was nice and cozy with a lot of good features. Excellent shower in the bathroom. The apartment was very safe and secure.

An excellent, central location. Our hosts Valeria and Sofia couldn't have been more helpful and looked after us really well. The room was very spacious, clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a great place to stay in Verona.

A lovely apartment with all that we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to cook a couple of simple meals. The location was amazing- a quiet street right in the centre of Verona. Our hosts were attentive and available if needed. They have the facility to look after luggage at the beginning and end of a stay.

I was charged an extra 50 euro for a 6 year old bc they said they needed to set up an extra bed even though there were two kings- It was my mistake that I didn’t add two kids ( age 1 and 6) but it slept everyone anyways

We asked for a comfy chair to allow our elderly mother to relax and our hosts appeared within the hour with a perfect solution. They more than lived upto their motto ' don't wait til you're leaving to tell us if you need something'.
Location and service excellent. We were met by a car valet, and passed to a lovely young woman who showed us the access to our clean 2 bed apartment by lift which worked very well.

The hotel is located in the heart of the historic part of the city. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Some reviews mentioned a lack of curtains, but they are not needed as you can simply close the blinds

Some windows in the apartment did not have curtains especially that in the bathroom, there was no blockout curtain and I had to cover the window with towels. The light above the sink in the bathroom was not working. Generally lighting in the apartment was not adequate.
Great location, within walking distance to historical attractions, shopping areas and loads of restaurants around. The apartment was clean, tiday and comfy. Check in was fast and the concierge parking was efficient.

Many things are not really working eg. heater in the bathroom and kitchen range hood
