Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaI didn’t like the breakfast - very poor choice for something that calls itself “luxury suits”…it would be nice to have something nicer and more Italian than regular ham and boring cheese. Of course I can buy myself food from a nearby bakery but the quality of the service is something principal. Not everyone from the personnel talks good English and some can experience difficulties in communication.
I liked the location - the suits are in the historical centre of Rome and it’s easy to navigate to all of the cultural sites as well as restaurants and shopping streets. The rooms are cleaned daily and the towels are changed daily. We had a minibar filled with nice drinks and snacks for good prices.

Canadaemail requests to the property went sometimes unanswered for days. Repeated emails were required to arrange for shuttle service from Roma Termini station and to the airport, however, eventually, a response was received and all arranged to our satisfaction
Breakfast was decent while staff greeted and tended to us with warm smiles and pleasant demeanor. Cappuccino was good, and the smoked salmon was a tasty treat.

CanadaIt was difficult to communicate with the staff or owner because the hotel is not using WhatsApp. Furthermore, if assistance is required with anything the staff is only at the hotel in the morning. There was no one to greet guests if you arrive in the afternoon. They provide a code to get into the hotel. Once your in then you pick up an envelope with the keys. I had a panic upon arrival because for some reason the door was not opening with the code and I couldn’t reach anyone since all I had was WhatsApp to call. After several tries I got in.
The location was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was very spacious.
