How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Have no complaints
Very good selection of food at breakfast. Friendly helpful service and located in the heart of the city with bus stop outside for the airport coach and across the street for transport to the Città Alta.

The location was great, right in the centre of Bergamo. Staff were so kind & friendly. Highly recommended staying here.

The room was very stylish BUT there were no drawers for clothing. Also a strange layout with shower/toilet in one compartment and the wash hand basin in another on the other side of the room.

Liked everything!
Location convenient to the train/bus station and a short walk to the Citta Alta. Very spacious and comfortable room and beds. Well sound proofed against the noise on the street. Very friendly and helpful staff and a very nice breakfast.

We could not stay longer
A wonderful hotel in a beautiful city. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming. We were blown away by the room, the building and its location. Within easy distance of everything you could hope for from restaurants to beautiful architecture. There was just a feeling about the location that just made you smile. Our stay was the end of a wonderful 10 day experience travelling around Italy and what an end. This hotel and Bergamo are a must for anyone who wants to experience another aspect of Italy. We will definitely return to explore this region, it's an absolute must see.

A bit worn out, especially bathroom could use an upgrade.
The hotel staff was so lovely, they made restaurant bookings for me, kept my luggage after check-out, gave me any information I required about the city, etc. The room was sweet and comfy, could use a renovation soon though. The bed and pillows were super comfortable!

The room was very utilitarian. It had a vinyl woven floor covering which was unpleasant to walk on. The floor was gritty and felt as though it had not been properly vacuumed. The wall beside the bed was stained and marked and needed cleaning. The shower has mould. It was advertised as a very large room with three beds. In fact it has two extra single beds in what appeared to be a corridor which was shut off from the main bedroom. It was very odd and for a couple a waste of space.
The location and the breakfast were very good. It was nice to have bathrobes which many hotels no longer provide.

I had specifically booked one of our three rooms as a double plus an extra bed to facilitate my two sons, the hotel decided as there was only two people to the room to make it a double only. This was disappointing but did not effect our overall impression of what is a great hotel.
The hotel is located very centrally and easy to get to. Even though we were over looking the main road the noise was minimal . The hotel is very modern and super comfortable

Maybe the bar at the hotel being open till 11 o'clock rather than 10 as sometimes nice after your meal to go back and relax with a nightcap
The location from train station and great for getting around to both parts of the city. Also staff at the hotel very helpful
